Alloette's poised entrance into the hotel lobby and bar did not go unnoticed by the Duchess. Her brown eyes watched her with some interested before returning to watching the myriad of people at the bar. It was clear that blonde beauty was of some importance here by the way the girl behind the counter so effortlessly backed down and gave the controls to this graceful creature. Still, Marjorie was not one to stare and thus, swirled her drink once more before sipping it and holding it on her tongue for a moment to absorb the aroma, taste and tannins. It was then that Alloette's figure came into her periphery and Marjorie turned her angelic face towards the other to listen as she mentioned light tight. She smiled a large, knowing grin that exposed her fangs. First point went to the lovely blonde lady. A delicate hand nimbly takes the card and returns it to her purse, and she considers the key for a moment before taking it from her. "That would be most kind." She slides off the bar stool, even with her heels the height difference was glaringly apparent. She was careful to grab her drink and hold it in her hand. "I think I shall take the drink myself. I wouldn't want any sort of potion slipped into it when I'm not looking." Another smile, this one smaller, purposely allowing Alloette know that she was no fool. It did not take much to know that the blonde was a witch. Besides the glaringly obvious fact that this hotel was called the Witchery, Alloette's oozing of magic power--Marjorie could smell the difference in her blood.

She watches the girl carefully, sipping the wine and nursing the drink slowly. She, in general, did not trust witches much. A few had been fun for awhile, and even fewer had been useful for various purposes (like when the Duchess chose not to get her hands dirty). But overall, Marjorie did not trust them. She even debated finding another suitable location to hide in but she had standards. The sewers or some dirty hole in the ground were for new vampires that didn't know any better. Then again, Marjorie was placing her trust in the witch before her not to unlock the room and seal her fate while her body remained motionless. She walked towards the elevator, wine glass in hand, and listened for the accompanying footsteps.

Once the doors closed, she considered her new acquaintance. "I must make my apologies for not asking you name, ma petit. I am Marjorie de Vere. Who, may I ask, is it that is so graciously escorting me to my room?" She awaited the answer and whether or not it was received she would still give her the benefit of the doubt. "And how many of my kind do you house here? How am I to be sure that no one will sneak into my room during the daylight hours unannounced and with malice in their intent?" The tone was non-accusatory but Marjorie valued her immortality more than anything else and while she could force herself awake during the day, it left her ravenous and irritable--something that she would like to avoid if at all possible. The situation was unique, and filled Marjorie with as much anxiety as it did excitement. The world had never been a safe place, but the Duchess had survived this long and fully intended to continue to live.
