Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Perhaps if he knew of her past, the manner of which she had been the end to her family, not just her parents but her siblings as young as one, that her fledgling hunting instincts had left her standing in a pool of their blood with their mangled bodies strewn around her. If he had seen or experienced that perhaps he would understand why Ceara fought so hard to deny her instincts and deny herself the pleasure that came with hunting. She wasn't the one to spill her feelings though, an inner demon type of personality mixed with self-preservation on not wanting to give anyone the satisfaction of having anything to use against her down the line. Many vampires would think her weak because of her "excuse"; past was past after all. Ceara nodded slowly, "No, you'll find no stakes and pitchforks here but do keep in mind that as our numbers grow so do the numbers of dark hunters that make this city their home. I've had no trouble with them- they don't cause a ruckus in my bar, and many won't outright attack a supernatural within the heart of the city here but take care when on the fringes. They're perhaps a more unstable breed than vampires." And that was as far of a warning as she'd give; she was no one's mentor or sire so their safety was their own to manage.

Her "rival" club was an entirely different manner. The subject of the nightclub causing her smooth features to contort slightly, lip rising in easily read disdain for the place. "Yes, Syn, a clever play for the word Sin...a mere stepping stone that gets you to Hell. Risque is an old vampire that dwells there, she does not come here and I do not go there unless it is absolutely necessary. I cater, obviously, to a different level of clientele so have no need to seek each other out." While their clubs were like night and day in their décor and atmosphere, very much having a different group that attended each, Ceara didn't care for the woman coming around upsetting the vibe as the dancers had just done. She wasn't going to outright tell this man that if he were working here and saw her to tell her to leave...which was also bad for business, but the tone in her words were clear that Risque wasn't all too welcome in the establishment. "I don't require any uniforms here but you need to be presentable; I hold my employees to the highest of standards. If you're interested you'd just need to learn the menu and how to make the drinks obviously." There was no pressure in her invitation but the position was there if he wanted to take a crack at it. It would definitely add to the appeal of her bar to have a fresh face behind the bar than the old man who had become grouchy and racist over the years.

Ceara pushed aside the half empty glass, finding she's no longer interested in the taste of alcohol for the moment. There was always something to do in a city, normally, but there were few that had hours allowing vampires to enjoy. There were of course the theaters and perhaps the mall besides the restaurants, Risque's club, and her bar but outside of that required investigation. "As you have pointed out, many vampires like the anonymity and freedom from not owning a business so not as many businesses here have the hours that we keep. There's a place in the outskirts, where the forest meets the sea, there are cliffs there with caves that are beautiful to explore. You'll generally have people there cliff-diving too, seeing who can jump off the highest point. Other than that I attend the events- plays, operas, fashion shows and the likes, whatever seems to be held at the center for the week." Again Ceara shrugged having never really thought about what she did outside of the bar and having said it out loud it probably did sound like a rather dull existence compared to the normal hunting and traveling gypsy life-style of a vampire. But that had been the point of the bar, to keep her in one place and focused on things besides the outside world so essentially it was doing its job. Perhaps a change of pace wouldn't be so bad and it was meant to be that Damon had come in, to be that reminder of what she truly is.
