This whole Were thing is definitely new news to me and even though I've known about it for a few months now, I feel like I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all. I don't know how to even begin the shift or what to do with it. Being a human just seems so sickening to me. Having hands instead of paws, grazing teeth instead of fangs, and my tail! I don't know what I'd do without a tail. I know nothing of the human world and how to survive it. I've only ever survived in the coyote world to my memory.

There's not an ounce of fear in my body for the creature before me. The only fear I feel is for the change, the shift and what that would mean for me. What if I get stuck like that and go insane? Ceasar wouldn't even know it was me. He'd probably attack me or just run. What would I be reduced to? One of those trashy humans that hangs on the sidewalk and sleeps in boxes? I mean, I don't do much better than that now but at least I fit in the box better and people don't snort down their noses at me like I've seen them do to other humans. They still know to be afraid of me. I have a feeling that would go away if I shift.

I do wonder how he fights the urge for fight or flight. He's a prey animal, a grazer. I may not know the exact name for what he is but I do know that much. I didn't see one fang in his mouth nor claws. Those hooves do hurt though, I know that from experience with other hooved animals. How hard it must be to face something with fangs and claws and not back away or run the other direction. I wonder how long it took him to overcome that instinct. Instinct is all that's kept me alive. I don't know what I'd do without my urge to strike and kill.

When he ask about the feeling of someone being in my head, he narrows his eyes and gives one word as answer. I don't trust it for a second but I know that if he's just going to keep denying it, I'm not going to get anywhere with arguing either. I growl in answer and shake out my fur again, trying to push it away, whatever it is. It's like an itch you can't reach to scratch, a tick inside your ear that won't let go.

He shrugs off my stories of what I've seen humans do to coyotes, telling me he knows well of it but that the tales would bore me. I snort at that in amusement, my lips twitching. "You're right. I'd probably fall asleep in boredom."

When I make a comment about his twitchiness, he says that he could have that condition and calls me insensitive. I respond by rolling my eyes. "You're a horrible liar. I'm not insensitive. Rather, I'm observant, probably a little too sensitive to annoying little habits such as someone standing like a stature except to twitch their lip or raise their brow." I give him a look, my eyes twinkling with sarcasm.

I tilt my head as he brings up Ceasar and the pack bond, my ears folding back as he mentions being able to know where pack members are at any time. I snort. "You've got to be kidding me. No one has that power, no normal coyote anyway. As for forms, he doesn't even know that I have another form besides this. I don't even know if I have another form. You're talking Were mumbo jumbo right now."

I scowl thoughtfully as he assures me that I'd be able to change back. I mumble. "You make it sound and look so easy. I bet it's not all that easy the first time."

When I mention the catch on his offer, he moves to recline against a tree and I roll my eyes again, ears flicking back. This guy. Does he always have to look so lazy? I listen to his offer, my brows furrowed. "Join? You mean like a pack? You want me to take orders from a deer with hair? That sounds like a favor in itself. You're asking me to take a blow to my self esteem. At least in my current pack, we fight for positions." I smirk.
