South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

As the cat loosened his grip on Henry's hand, he pulled it back and tried to examine it in the darkness. While he couldn't see the blood, he felt it running down his arm. He would probably need stitches from a deep bite like this. He had the means at home to doctor himself up, but first, he needed to get out of the alleyway. While the cat was temporarily occupied, Henry began to take a step back, slowly increasing the distance between himself and the feline. Unfortunately, the little dog kept yapping and Henry wanted to smother him now so not to cause the cat to look back at them. Again, unfortunately for Henry, the cat once again turned his eyes on Henry. Those eyes. Henry couldn't get over them. He'd never seen such green eyes on a cat before, but he figured it was just an oddity. Never did it occur to him that the cat might not be entirely feline.

As the cat slinked forward, Henry kept slowly backing away, trying his best to keep the dog quiet. Eyes never left the green ones as he slowly stepped back, one foot behind the other. When the cat paused in the light of what seemed like the only streetlight on the planet and let out a loud roar, Henry figured this was his time to run. In a swift motion, he turned a complete 180 degrees and ran straight for his apartment building just across the street.

It wasn't until he was safely inside that he looked down at his hand. He was an absolute mess. He sighed. Even Sparkle's white coat was an ugly shade of pink from his wounds. He slowly began walking the stairs, climbing up until he came to his floor. He knocked quietly on Mrs. Davis' door and when she opened it and saw Sparkles, she was truly delighted. While she wanted to give Henry a reward and help him clean up, he refused. It was "his pleasure" to rescue the dog. Bullshit. It was so not worth the injuries he had acquired.

Henry walked down the hall and slowly opened the door to the apartment he shared with Sterling. He peeked around the corner, not seeing Sterling. He was probably home. Hell, His shift had ended over an hour ago. Yelling out, Henry made a beline for the bathroom. "Sorry I don't have dinner ready. Mrs. Davis' dog got out and I went out looking for him. No worry. He's safe. I'm just going to hit the shower." Henry was quick to close the door of the bathroom behind him. He unwrapped the wound and tossed the bloody fabric into the trashcan. Turning on the shower, he let the steam build up before stepping in and making sure to clean his wound. When he stepped out of the shower, he looked at his hand and decided he didn't really need stitches, just a bandage and a pain killer. Grabbing the first aid kit, he patched up his wound. Once the dressing was on, he wrapped a towel around his waist and opened the bathroom door. He walked down the hall into the small linen closet that he had taken over. Grabbing a pair of clean boxers, he pulled them on under his towel and then tossed the towel into the laundry room. Grabbing a pair of sweats, he slipped those on followed by a tight-fitting muscle shirt before heading into the kitchen. If Sterling hadn't eaten yet, then he was probably starving by now.
