South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

WHAT A GORGEOUS DISGRACE

Ashtyn wasn't in much of a club or bar mood tonight, so that meant she would have to find other ways to entertain herself for the night. There were so many options in this city, but for some reason none of them really appealed to her. So, while trying to figure out this little dilemma she took out her pistol and started to clean it. The smell of the cleaner was weirdly comforting to her, and something about the simple act of cleaning the gun soothed her. Maybe it was how systematic and exact it was, it was a lot more dependable than spell work and potions could be.

Once she was happy with the cleanliness of her gun she put it away in a small, padded, lockable case for safe keeping. She wasn't dumb, she knew what things lurked in this city, and there was never such a thing as too much protection. She was growing restless again though, so she grabbed her backpack and placed the gun case in it carefully. It had been a while since she had gone shooting, and for some reason that seemed like the most exciting thing for her to do tonight. So with a small smile she threw the backpack over her shoulder, grabbed her helmet, and headed out to where her motorcycle was waiting for her.

It didn't take her long to get out of the city, and before she knew it she was on small dirt roads that lead into the woods, and away from the main highway. She easily maneuvered her motorcycle over the familiar dirt road before parking it among a small grouping of bushes. She pulled her helmet off and let her blonde hair fall in the typical waves around her shoulders before moving down a small slope that took her towards the small pond that was nestled away amongst the trees. A deep breath was drawn in and released, she loved the way the air felt crisper out here away from the city smog.

The sun was barely starting to set, casting an eerie glow to the pond before her. A smile touched her lips as she lowered her thin body onto a boulder. With a sigh she pulled the backpack from her shoulders and placed it in her lap before quickly unzipping it and rummaging through. It only took her a couple seconds to pull out the gun case, and then a notebook with lined paper. Her eyes seemed to shimmer with mischief as she pulled out a pen and quickly drew herself some targets. It didn't take long to finish them so once again she was on her feet and moving towards a line of young trees, a heavy duty stapler in her hand. Ashtyn stapled the targets and murmured her thanks to the trees for their service, something she had done since she was a child, and something that so many people found odd.

Once she was happy with her targets she moved about five yards away and dropped down to her knee. The witch pulled opened the gun case slowly, her grey eyes glowing with a determination and happiness she always felt when she had something as powerful as a gun within her grasp. Slender fingers pulled the gun from the protective cushions, and she quickly slammed a loaded clip into the gun. The power seemed to warm her hands and make her feel strong, a feeling that she found to be quite addicting and necessary for her survival in a place such as this.

The light was beginning to fade, leaving her surrounded in the darkness that showed that night had finally shown its beautiful face. She held the gun up, waiting for what seemed like hours, though it only was a minute or so before small lights flickered to life all around the pond. A quiet laugh passed her lips, the fireflies were awake, it was their time to shine, and it was Ashtyn's time to live. With only the fireflies as her light source she squeezed the trigger, the sound echoed through the trees, and she heard some birds caw loudly before flying from the trees to whatever safety they could find away from the loud noises. Ashtyn pulled the trigger a few more times as the light around the pond grew brighter. The moon was shining brightly only adding to the light she was already being given. It truly was a beautiful sight, and one that the witch was very familiar with.

Then she began to wonder what else would the night offer to her.
