South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Kato Buhari

The moment that the pair had spotted the little fennec fox running nearby they had surely thought they had won the game that their Uncle Kato had presented to them. Amare, for one so young, had a great shot with pelting rocks so it was no surprise when one landed its target. Mosi's launch at the small canine fell short when Edie skittered away allowing the shift to overtake her. To say the pair was surprised was perhaps an understatement. The children gaped at the woman who now stood where their previous target had been. Amare glanced towards Mosi, using his big brother's reaction to gauge his own and know what exactly was going on. Mosi blinked in confusion at first, "You're not a rhino." There was only simple statement in his tone, never one to judge or look down on another. It just wasn't how he was raised, his personality much how Kato's was as a child. "You can hunt with us." Mosi nodded affirmatively before glancing to his brother, motioning for the small boy to follow as Edie darted off.

The pair followed on Edie's heels, pressing further out from the village than they would have alone. Only Mosi gave a slight pause at one point to glance from a large tree, back to the horizon where the village was barely visible, then to Edie once more. It was a quick decision, surely Edie being an adult meant that it had been the correct answer to overstep that invisible boundary that the children had around the village. There was the meerkat colony ahead that would be a lot easier to hunt being closer than waiting for one of the individuals to stray so far outside its own boundary too. Their attention had been so focused on the goal, leading Edie to where they knew there was game they could catch that they too hadn't noticed that they were being followed. Not until it was too late.

Mosi had crouched down to brush his hand against the dry earth, reading the many scratches in the surface to look for a trail to follow. It was then that the rustle behind them caught his attention. Slowly he stood back up and turned around as a large male lion stepped through the brush. His mane was scruffy and his build relatively thin telling of his young age and malnourishment. Unfortunately both those things made for a desperate animal. "..Mosi.." Amare croaked with wide eyes. Mosi's gaze was glued on the animal as it grumbled and stared right back, "Shh." Mosi commanded his brother immediately, not looking away from the feline as he had been taught to. He remained rooted to his spot though the hand at his side motioned for Amare to stay where he was at. Amare squeeked from his spot a few feet from Mosi though he trembled in effort to remain there and not dart to his brother's side. It had been the wrong decision to cross the boundary that not just the children had come to obey but the wild animals too.

It had been the hope that the lion would decide that he wasn't going to bother with them and move on. However, he was just as hungry for meat and the children were such a small easy target to just pass by. The lion would have chosen Mosi for sure as he had been the closest. It was Amare breaking from his spot to dart towards Mosi that switched the lion's attention to the moving target. Mosi let out a shout, lurching towards Amare as the lion launched towards the smallest Buhari. It occurred to the older boy in the back of his mind to question why the adult hadn't used her power yet. Surely Edie should have possessed some capability that could thwart the lion. As it was there was a horrible scene to play out with an equally as horrible result waiting for them at the end.
