South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

In many ways, more than one, it was surprising to see how those that are broken are actually able to slowly heal over time. In many cases Raven had endured far too much than one ever should in life. Mentally and emotionally she was damaged, perhaps more so, than physically. Each unseen scar continued to cause the curly-haired woman to be as more cautious in life than ever before. It was easy for her not to open to others, it was easy to keep herself hidden away, and it was easy to continue pushing others back. Why would she want to get close to anyone, when she knew far too well, that she would be harmed in one way or another? It was interesting perhaps that she was willing to open herself and trust an obvious unstable and temperamental male. Yet for some unknown reason she was capable of actually bonding with him, trusting her, and allowing him to be so very close to her. Instead of running away from him she always ran towards him, enjoying his company no matter what sort of mood he was in. Anyone with any sanity would have warned the girl to stay away from him, that he would actually be abusive to her, and yet not once had he shown any capability of harming her, but over time she became aware that he was quite protective of her, but more importantly, he was territorial with her. Time and time again he showed not just how important she was to him, but how much he actually wanted to be with her, and her alone, or how he was willing to claim her as his. For the first time in her life, she understood what it felt like to be wanted, but more importantly, she realized she could actually feel what it was like to be chosen by another. It touched her in more ways than one, and so Raven was capable of opening up and trusting him more and more over time.

She enjoyed his gentle touch as his hands continued to stroke and slide down her scarred flesh. Although she was still nervous about the ordeal, his tender touch by his calloused hands, or the way his lips pressed against her, reassured the anxious girl that this was all okay. He was quite an attentive creature, noticing when his fingers strayed to a different side of her she would flinch, but he would stop and go another direction, slowly causing the girl to relax and accept his touches when he would stray again to a part of her she had been nervous about before. Naturally she would respond vocally, the girl far too content and pleased all in one with each touch that came from her companion. As he placed the bruising kiss upon her neck she couldn't help but grin, feeling that overwhelming sensation of being claimed once more, the act in itself not only comforting to the girl, but reassuring all in one, that she would stay. For her she was used to being cast aside, to be ignored or not even thought of, but when him on top of her, his lips leaving trials down her body, it occurred to her that she would not be simply thrown out or snubbed. In one way or another the two of them were broken and shattered, but over time the two were able to mend and put the pieces back, together. Underneath the pale moon and the star-filled sky, the two were wrapped around one another, focusing only on one another, in complete silence. Quietly she watched him as his hands trailed down lower, blue-grey eyes noticing how his eyes continued to darken, but carry those subtle golden flecks, pleased to see that both were quite enjoying themselves, and at least, sharing this moment together.

As he silently requested to continue, she suddenly remembers what he had told her long ago. Slowly she pulled herself upwards intending to stop him, telling him and then waiting for the onslaught to come. Yet he did not yell at her. He did not gnash his teeth and push her away. Once more she had denied his wants, but had she not already given him enough? They had just taken the next step and already he was wanting so much more, that in the whole wave of emotion and passion, she was willing to continue, not wanting to stop. Perhaps in a subtle way, she was trying to push herself to continue, to please him and sacrifice herself for his benefit. Though she was willing to stop and help him see a different side, rather than stopping just for herself, she wanted him to stop, because she wanted him to actually she the harm that could come to him. She remembered how Tobias was with how Tetradore treated him after his physical activates with Nadya. She was hurt and angered herself, but she had to pent up all that frustration to help Tobias cope at the lost of his brother. Seeing him in that much pain hurt her deeply and she didn't want him to go through that again. Tobias, while some would never believe her, was smart and clever, and capable of understanding â€" if given the chance. Each day she tried to help him as best he could to understand and interact as he could have before, and tonight she was willing to show him he was capable of actually having a moral choice. All creatures were capable of having ethics, and it seemed that tonight Raven was willing to help him see that he too could be just as ethical, as she was, when she decided to stop. Her hand continued to rest in his own, blue-grey eyes watching how his face turned into a frustrated look, squeezing him gently, to assure him she was there. As she waited for him to understand, and see, she was pleased to hear his broken words tumble out, as she nodded her dial giving him a small smile.

"I don't want you to make Tetra mad, because the last time he was mad at you, he didn't talk to you. You were very sad, angry, and extremely upset...I felt sad for you, I don't want you to hurt again."

Seeing Tetradore purposely ignore Tobias and discard him in his life brought back those painful memories and the searing pain she felt in her heart when she was treated in a similar fashion. Although she and Tobias were different, they were very much the same. She despised feeling that sense of loss and she knew exactly how Tobias was feeling. Whereas she lost her parents and pack, that bond severed and obliterated thanks to their abuse and treatment, Tobias had lost his best friend and brother. As he assures her he is not angry with her, she nods, and lies back down on the ground, feeling him slowly start to get off her. That warmth he had provided her slowly began to disappear as he laid beside her. As he looks upwards, she keeps a careful watch on him, uncertain with what he would do now. It is when he turns his head to look at her, she notices his eyes ablaze with gold, knowing quite well his other side was in full control, for a moment her heart skips a beat in shock and delight. It is when he speaks does her face turn into a small frown, as her eyes briefly left his own, as her mind quickly wandered. Yes, she was willing to go forward with it, even if there was a side of her that was not ready, but she was entirely willing to do whatever she possibly could to make him happy â€" but she also felt the need to keep Tobias from hurting himself all over again with Tobias. She respected his friendship with Tetradore and she would not want to be the reason why it would break again. Her hand gently strokes the side of his face as he comes in to kiss her cheek, she returns the gesture, before muttering softly.

"You didn't make the promise, but he did. I have to look out for what is best for the both of you...but thank you Tobias...for looking out for me too."

As his head moves back up to look at the sky, she exhales softly, completely unaware that her chest had tightened by the breath she was holding. Once again she would not have to continue, having the capability of calling the shots and her own terms on when she would want to continue. She enjoyed herself of course, she relished in his touch and gentle caress, the feeling of being loved had overwhelmed her. Tobias was capable, in more ways than one, to show her that she could be treasured and treated so well. It was something she didn't think would ever be possible, but since he was willing to show her, she was willing to do something in return. While his other side was gone, perhaps not to return until necessary, she curled herself up against him, already feeling the chill in the air over her exposed flesh. She cannot help, but release a very soft laugh as Tobias feels it is necessary to ask here and now. She doubted Tobias would appreciate a half-naked her and Tobias barging into his room and requesting their desire to have sex. She was still apprehensive with it all and she wasn't sure they could continue where they left off, if Tetradore would know what the two of them would be doing in the other room. She lifts herself up and looks down at him, the girl for the moment forgetting that indeed she was half naked, as she placed a gentle kiss on his forehead and then on his lips, before settling her head on his chest, breathing softly as she spoke up, quite content to be in this position.

"I think he is busy with Sam tonight, maybe you can ask him on another day?"
