South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

SOMEDAY I'LL WALK AWAY AND SAY
YOU FUCKIN' DISAPPOINT ME

Maybe You're Better Of This Way...

I walk beside the girl in fiery tresses, staggering my massive gait somewhat so as to keep pace with the lady as we trek the few miles back to the inner city and navigate the many blocks to what seems to be familiar territory for her.

I can tell, because she becomes more confident, more relaxed within our surroundings, and before long it is she who is setting the pace, obviously heading for a particular destination. I am content to continue to pad along beside her in silence, simply admiring the way she moves. Such grace and poise, how can it be that such a Lady could come to live in a Hell Hole like Sacrosanct?

Her hands move, almost subconciously through the thick fur of my scruff and the feeling of fingers lacing through the silken strands is soothing to say the least. It has been a while since I spent time in the company of a woman... even if she thought I was just a stray mutt.

Sure, I've had my fair share of lusty flings and endless strings of women. Young werewolves have practically insatiable appetites for all carnal desires. But after my sweet Selena was killed some ten years ago, my taste for a woman's touch has gone... dormant. I guess One might say.

In this moment, however, I am reminded how soft a woman's hands were. How gentle and delicate their touch. Perhaps it has been too long, and now unaccustomed to the sensation I am given to let my lids fall closed as the woman strokes my shoulders, body leaning closer to her side of it's own volition as silent consumes us.

Before long, she veers to one side of the street, taking to a set of stairs leading up to a series of apartments, and I follow her all the way to her door. By now, her assailant's blood has dried into matted tangles within my fur, staining the silver striping a muddy red-black color.

She turns the key in the door, and were as if she was content to simply slip inside and forget all about the large mongrel who'd come to her rescue. What? No pat on the back for her rescuer? No words of kindness? Not even a treat? It would simply end so.... unceremoniously?

Somehow, I find I am not satisfied with this outcome. I tell myself it has nothing to do with the soft sensation of her hands across my skin. A small snort is illicited, followed quickly by a single whine.

Well, such gratitude. Perhaps the female was in shock. I was about to turn, to slip back into the night with some measure of reluctance. But she turns then, a smile coaxed to her lips as she stares down at me. A wave of my tail is offered hopefully.

But as she lists her conditions, my ears are poised to lace back and flatten uncertainly.... A Bath?! Was the woman joking? That was to be my reward?! I groan, and then groan again. Who the Hell was Seth?

Probably some dead-beat boyfriend who was scared of dogs. And he ought to be, letting his girl get mugged in the outskirts of town was a good way to get himself mauled. But as she opens the door and we step inside, I am suddenly bombarded by a broad muzzle and drooling face. Lolling tongue and frantically waving tail as a massive dog comes bumbling forward and shoving his snout in my face.

My instincts are to bristle, tail curling up over my back as lips are peeled back from sharp teeth in warning. The dog takes the hint and backs away a step, but his obvious excitement cannot be contained and I insufferably allow the animal to get a good sniff while he can. As he does, realization that I am not like the other run of the mill mutts seems to set in. He gives a whine, his tail falling behind him as he licks at my chin submissively.

That's right. I'm the big dog around here. He's lucky his mistress was here to reign me in or might have given him a good snap to the rump.

But then the woman in red is opening a side door. I hear a faucet begin to run and my pulse quickens. Oh Gods...

She was serious.
