South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

There is an edginess to Blaise that Archer feels through the contact of their hands. She is clever at the game she plays but he is far older than her and thus can sense a bit of her heightened emotions. Still, he is slightly off kilter from the episodes of tonights events and thus isn't sure if she is merely freaked from his sudden attack on the innocent squirrel or from the jarring of her own legs and hands with her fall. Needless to say the last twenty minutes of their lives had been eventful. After so long he was finally spending some time with another of his kind. The timing was odd but everything in Archer's life had been timed at the most inopportune moments for him. Not so for Blaise as she had apparently stumbled upon his curse without any foreknowledge and now held a gambit that could change the course of Archer's fate. That WOULD change the course.

After all this time, to learn what might happen in the future would have been a nice power.

They pause and she reaches out to wipe his mouth. His eyes fasten on hers almost hungrily, her touch opening up some yawning chasm within him despite the chill of her touch. She is cold even with his jacket and he is warm. Darkness and light. He misses it though, unable to see past the whimsical smile and the concern on her face. Blaise is an adept actress or else Archer is a blind fool. It had been so long since he had spent time amongst others and had been shown kindness in return for his own. Really, it is no wonder he falls so easily for Blaise's trickery.

An answering smirk slides across his face at her words. "I am pleased to hear this," he says gallantly but with a hint of huskiness to his voice. The walk continues until he interrupts it as they reach her home. She starts and his head jerks up, eyes flashing around to make sure they are safe in the same manner she responded to his own surprise earlier. But she answers his question smoothly enough and the alarm dissipate as he nods in understanding. She is skilled at wording things how she needs and he is naive enough to not catch on to it.

"Your wounds are more important," he says diplomatically, entering the home after her shy words, sliding a comforting smile to her. No doubt she is nervous about bringing a strange man back to her home but the walk here she had seemed confident enough. Besides, Archer knew he would never harm her. It wasn't in his blood. "It is fine," he assures her with a dip of his head, missing the connection of their hands and almost reaching out to touch her shoulder but pulling back with just a twitch of his hand. She points him to the living room and he seats himself comfortable, half slouched. While he is still gallant and chivalrous, he has also adapted to the laid back ways of the 21st century.

She sits down and now he sits up, inspecting her wounds in much the same way as she did, with a frown. The frown turns quickly into a look of surprise as his eyes skitter away from her, the sound of her pulling her pants off startling him. Her apology eases him and he glances back, trying to make sure to peer only at her knees. "Whatever you need." He can tell she is dreading this and takes the knife calmly from her, laying a palm right above her knee in a soothing touch. "I will be quick." Now he kneels on the floor, peering at the cuts with a grimace. It would take quick work to cut around the embedded rocks. "Each week I must kill a creature and consume it's blood. When I resist, as you saw, it causes me pain." His brows press down hard as he concentrates and also in disdain for himself, pressing the knife into one of her knees quick.

Blood begins to trickle and he makes quick work of it, pulling out the rocks and taking the first aid kit to clean the first one before turning to the second. "I have had it since I became one of you." Now he glances up at her, wondering if she had guessed he was once human. "It was a gift for denying the one who turned me."
