South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

It was guilt that finally drove her from the pristine, air-conditioned refuge of her loft apartment and down into the humid city streetsâ€"guilt that she'd been here four full days and had nothing to show for it beyond a stack of empty takeout boxes. It was hard, sometimes, to be bothered about it all, the people and the places and the primitive concerns, and Indra had a knack for losing track of time when the right thing held her attention. The work she had been doing latelyâ€"it stoked something gratifying inside of her, made her want to stretch and rumble and flex her claws like a great cat. It was easy work to get lost in.

But it wasn't the work she was here for, she had reminded herself that morning, as she took one look into the empty refrigerator and decided she'd better get outside. She'd enjoyed a lazy breakfast at a terrace café, mapping out the day's strategy. There were contacts she could talk to, research leads she could pursue, butâ€"she needed to orient herself. She needed focus.

So she'd caught a cab to the south side of town, where she'd heard there was a park with certain... energy potentials. She took her time strolling the lesser-used trails, stretching her legs as she set a few snares and then scouted out a quiet spot to wait. Two hours later and she had herself a fat brown hare, wriggling in the bushes. Deftly she wrung its neck and hauled it back to the shade of an overgrown ash.

She had just slipped her knife into the soft belly when a frisbee came clattering through the branches, closely followed by a boy of about eight. "Go back to your friends," she directed him sharply, but he had already seen, was already shrieking at the sight of the limp animal. Indra flicked her eyes skyward, willing patience, as the boy charged back the way he had come.

She wasn't exactly surprised by the two hunters who crashed through the underbrush a few minutes later. Sighing, she drew her hands from the hare's abdomen, carefully unraveling a length of entrail before looking up. "Can I help you?" she asked them, cross-legged on the ground and up to her elbows in blood.
