South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. The University welcomes the talent of students across the world to enroll and unlock their unlimited potential. With applications from across the nation, classes fill up quickly.

"Using your powers against someone isn't just rude, it's a declaration of war."
Those words were steel, like her resolve. Did he really want that? To make another enemy? She pondered what he had to say, actually thought about those words that he offered her. They made perfect sense to her and part of her loathed that it did. No she didn't believe everything she heard, she knew the world was comprised of liars and people that wanted something from you. "No, I do not, but you aren't doing yourself any justice to show me you are anything otherwise." She didn't know them all that well. But she felt like she could trust Tetradore and Raven. Certainly more than Frost. They were nothing but kind. But this.. this stallion was already living up to the colours they painted him.

Why did he have to pick a fight with her of all damn nights? It was irksome and it certainly didn't place him on her good side. Not when he wields his power right off the bat, as if showing it off for all the world to see. He claimed he just wanted to talk, yeah okay, when horses fly. He may be a convincing individual but she wasn't exactly buying into what he was saying.

Negan had powers, but he was the only one in the large pack. Yet in Sacrosanct, everyone and their mom possessed some kind of power. It was mind boggling to the wolf who had already accepted the beast she was. Now there was some kind of magic involved? It sounded ridiculous but it was now a reality she had to face and she would overcome it like she did with everything.

Frost now, offers her a deal. A deal with the devil is what it felt like. Part of her wanted to tell the horse to fuck right off a cliff. But she thought better of it, right in that moment she was filled with chaos that was held within thin skin that was already threatening to burst. Chaos and unclear thoughts made one sloppy. She wasn't anything but sloppy, so she wouldn't act rash in this mind state and make a fatal error.

She knew she would come to regret this, hell she would regret it the moment she had to agree to it. To compromise everything just to keep her freedom, felt wrong, felt selfish. It unsettled her more than the heat that elevated within. That lava that lived happily within her veins for who knows how long threatened to burst at its seams. It felt terrifying and yet natural the way she leaked that molten hot substance from her paws. She was almost thrilled in the way that she was able to scald him with that lava that consumes her so, that flows freely from her paws. She liked the way she could keep him at bay. But she didn't know enough to control it, or if it was even her that caused this reaction in her body.

His next words were both insulting and revealing all at the same time. She could feel her lips curling ever so slightly, irked as she kept up with him, never giving her back to the steed, no matter what was happening to her. He might have acted predatory but she matched every step with her own. No matter how much he tried he was only a horse, he was not a predator, he never would be one. But, something struck her, what did he mean that he could know every thought running through Negan's head? Was he some kind of mind reader? It was also clear he underestimated her fiercely. That was fine. She could use that to her advantage when she needed it. But if he were a mind reader, she was up shits creek with any idea she conjured up. She would need to act unpredictable to get out of this one.

Of course, he had to threaten her now when she tells him to stop that heat. She needed to think straight and he didn't offer her that chance. She wanted nothing more to rip his hide into shreds, to take back her own control with violence. "Your threats are annoying, Frost." There was nothing she disliked more than being threatened, she didn't like being pushed into a corner, it was often met with savage teeth. But it was clear she could not just fight this horse with just teeth and brawn alone. She was a capable fighter, she was damn good with a gun too. But right now, at this very moment, she didn't have the odds stacked in her favour. What she also hated was men trying to dominate and bully her. She scowls at him, those piercing judgemental golden eyes alight with feral intensity. If only they could be weaponized she might have a chance. They burn and glow like the molten that slides through her does. It felt like a new entity moving within her, threatening to bust out of self-made seams. Shit, what if she burst and couldn't pull herself back together? What if she were dying? Better dead than back in Negan's vile grasp. She could feel the heat rise and intensify, she shook her body almost violently to shake the feeling that never went away, allowing that lava droplets to spew out from her. It felt like she was about to detonate at any moment like a bomb right before its final aching moments of exploding.

How could she trust Frost? Yes, his deal felt small, felt even fair. He claimed he was being polite but it felt more like an invasion. Just one meeting and he turned her world into chaos. This man was not safe. He could use his silver tongue all he liked but he couldn't convince her that he wasn't dangerous. Mira didn't respond well to threats and part of her just wanted to tell him where to shove it. But this little deal of theirs could buy her some much needed time, to figure out a game plan. He wasn't to be trusted even though he sounded so reasonable.

Her eyes narrow, those glowing beacons watch him almost hawk like despite the wolf she was. Unblinking she speaks to him, her voice echoing with inner strength despite the fact that she was losing this round. "I don't intend to die or become someone's prisoner again, not tonight." This little favour had to have its limits, she already knew what they were but she would need to play her card carefully to get out of this in one piece for now. That's what she needed, time to stall. He had to know she was a wild card. The lava continued to flow from her, it seeped out of her. Was she coming undone? Was this to be the end of her, was her lava going to consume her whole? Maybe she was to become one with earth. After all, wasn't that what happened to lava when it hardened? She was damn certain she didn't want Frost to be there in her final moments.

He declared he wasn't going to stop this agony, this heat that consumed her. He also continued with this threats and the anger flared further. She slammed her foot down again letting that lava spatter, some dry debris getting hit with it. It was just enough of a spark to set fire to a small seemingly innocent flame, fire in a forest was anything but innocent. She hoped that splatter would make purchase on that pristine hide of his. She was all out of cards to play, not if she wanted to leave this night. Not to mention she needed time to process what the hell happening to her. She couldn't do that with him standing there with that haughty look on his face and whatever plans he was conjuring. "Fine" She suddenly burst, unable to handle what was happening to her any further, she felt like her body was on fire. Like she was dying. It had to stop. Stop long enough to make sense of all of this. The heat that pressed upon her further made her strain. She heaved from the pain and the anxiety, trying desperately to cool herself. Not even Frost's cold eyes could manage that. "Just make it stop. You can have your little deal. But think out your favour wisely." She hated herself for saying those words, they even sounded strained, the words were near hissed. Her teeth grit trying to keep her body from turning into a lava state, if she could. She wasn't sure what would happen to her if she turned into a puddle. This little favour thing wouldn't mean a damn thing if she couldn't pull herself back together.

The moon illuminates their dismal scene. Ivory against ebony, if she was even still that midnight hue, she wasn't sure. She could see the glow that her body was giving upon the rock, the lava that flowed from her paws and the cracks that exposed what lay beneath her surface. Hell, were they still paws? She could no longer see them they were covered in that fiery substance.

Mira knew how to survive, she didn't survive this long without doing whatever necessary. She had to make a difficult decision and this was it. It was the only one she could see. Frost and Mira were like fire and ice. How the hell could one work with the other? They were destined to clash, but that was not an issue, there were more pressing concerns, such as to stop herself from leaking into oblivion and get the hell out of here. Then, of course, there was that unspoken noose around her neck. She had made a deal with the devil and soon he would want to cash in. Was death scarier than this cruel unknown? Hell if she knew. But this was her bed, and she had no choice but to lay in it. Frost had better get on killing her or get this fire like burning her insides to stop.
