South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It has been a very good night so far, the best since I've arrived in the city. The modifications to my telescope are nearly finished and with a few adjustments the picture would be clearer than it was even tonight. Then my planned evening of solitary introspect and stargazing turned social when a young - young, well, my aged - woman approached me, interested in what brought me to the park after hours. I shared my evening with her and soon we began sharing our mutual interest in heavenly bodies. The subject has since shifted to other topics of the cosmos - astrological signs and the zodiac. After determining that I was a Leo, something I guess I knew but never really paid any attention to beyond just barroom trivia, Serafina began brilliantly mocking the newspaper and radio horoscopes and their 'insight' between the alignment of the plants and one's necessity of footwear.

I look down at my feet to the old sneakers that served as my constant companion over the past few years. "I could use some new shoes actually..." I mutter, somewhat despondent at my worn shoes, but before a moment has passed my new friend is continuing on, letting loose with a line of astrological techno-babble I can only understand in passing. She draws a step closer and eyes me more carefully, no, not eyeing me, looking into me. She carries on, describing me as though she had been watching, objectively, all my life, leaving me frozen in place. I feel my jaw unhinge as she even pegs my chronic migraines...maybe...maybe I should sleep more?

She comes closer, there are mere atoms separating us at this point. I can hear my heart beating in my ears and feel my ears redden as she dives into affairs of the heart, finish up with a hard swallow on my end for those in the audience listening in. All the failed relationships in high school, all but giving up to focus on school and my future career, memories come flooding back as she goes through probably half the zodiac. Not that I paid particular attention to our signs back then, but the mere mention of 'best' and 'worst' matches is enough to conjure the ghosts of girlfriends past. Attention fully on the woman in front of me, lost in her steely grey eyes, my response comes broken and slow but there's little hint of doubt about the words I speak. "Well, Serafina, I think that sounds...very interesting, would - are - is that something you'd...possibly be interested in...exploring? Perhaps? I mean we've only just met if you want to go to a pub or something first I know a great little place over in the warehouse district but I'm sure there's places close by that I don't know about. Yet. Serafina." I extend my hand for her, palm up, in what I hope is an inviting gesture, returning her warm gaze with an earnest smile of my own.
