South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South

Her face reverted back to that of an excited little girl as she spoke of how she could manipulate people and move them around like puppets. She could have been talking about braiding dandelions into bracelets for all the delight she put into her voice, the way she talked about controlling people and possibly killing them. Taylor swallowed as he listened. "Guess that must be fun, huh?" He asked with a small smile, forced, because he figured playing into her delight was better than openly telling her how he really felt about the way she talked about people. She was a monster in sheep's clothing. How had he never met anyone like this before? Why couldn't it be like a Dracula moment when he got to drive a stake into some old dude's chest and make him turn to ask and become the hero of the story? Cause there's no way he could do that to a little girl, even one who talked about people like they were nothing more than toys. She seemed to be having some kind of internal conflict about some guy named Sebastian and someone else named Damon though. Sebastian wanted her to be good and not kill and Damon wanted her to be waht a vampire was supposed to be, a monster.

Taylor was silently voting for Sebastian's side to win. And luckily, that seemed to be the case, but of course he wasn't about to get off scot free. She announced that she was hungry and seemed to be watching him intently, as if expecting him to run at any second. But he knew better than to deny the fate he was given. He knew that he couldn't outrun that shadow thing if she called it back and he might not even be able to outrun her. If she was super fast like vampires were in movies or if she could truly manipulate him like a puppet like she said she could, then it was a losing situation where he just looked like the coward who died. He didn't want that ending. If he couldn't go down fighting, then he would accept his fate because at least he would find some peace with that. He held out his arm to her and she almost looked surprised that he was giving in. She took his wrist and he was struck by how cold her hands were, like ice. He was going to say that maybe she did need a jacket after all but then reminded himself that she probably didn't feel the cold.

He only felt sad in that moment because at some point, this was someone's little girl, and something had made her into this. There was a time in her life when she would have needed a coat to stay outside and her hands would have been warm and she would talk about kittens and puppies and daffodils with her friends while they played tag or hide and seek and giggled like children do. But she had none of that now. Now she only thought of humans as toys and killed them because it was her nature, at least until Sebastian said otherwise. She wants to please this Sebastian, whoever he is. Taylor watched as she turned his arm over and leaned over his wrist. He waited for the pinch and forced himself not to flinch when it happened. After a few moments, it was like taking a Benadryl or something though and he felt himself relaxing, like being stoned or something. Was she doing that to him? He didn't like it but he couldn't fight it.

He watched her drink from him, for lack of anything better to look at. His eyes were half closed, like he might go to sleep at any time. Then she pulled back and he glanced down at his wrist out of curiosity. His movement seemed slower, more sedated, as he looked at the tooth marks there. They were tiny, like pin pricks. He looked up slowly when she said that she wanted to play again tomorrow and that they would play something else. She was very nonchalant about it but he found himself looking at her teeth when she talked, as if trying to see if he would find any of his blood on them. They looked perfectly white though. It was strange to think of his blood on someone else's teeth. It almost made him laugh. But he found himself nodding. It was all he could think of to do.
