South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I Will Find My Way, If I Can Be Strong

South
i'm the hero of my own story, don't need a knight in shining armor

There was chemistry between the group, that much was becoming more crystal clear as the moments came and went and the easiness only seemed to grow as it filled the small bistro nearing its debut hour. Perhaps the French woman should be a bit more nervous that she was, but that was hardly the case as those sage eyes took on each and every one of those warm and bright faces that she had been fortunate to find on the streets of Sacrosanct. She kept in mind the types of individuals that she had sought to hire just as several of those business books she had read on those chilly days in the yard watching Taylor and Townsend go about the yardwork and tending to those household chores had advised. After all, each and every business had certain categories of people that would work best for the intended environment. For the Beachside Bar and Bistro, Adelaide knew that she would need bright and friendly faces. She knew that she would need hard workers that would be able to endure the pressures that came with customer service, the ability to take control of any situation that might arise as well as take responsibility for any shortcomings or mishaps. The workers that she hoped to find would need to be able to move with a sense of urgency and determination, and as her gaze shifted between the threesome, she felt that she had selected some of the most perfect individuals to help this new business, this new dream of hers set sail. She was aware that none of them had worked in this line of business, and obviously the dark-haired woman herself had never had to work for a single thing in her life thus far, but she was a firm believer that experience would be quickly earned for them all. Knowledge was something that could be gained, through trial and error, from both victory and failure. What couldn't be so easily obtained was the natural talent of kindness and determination that she was almost entirely certain Killian, Elain, and Abigail had perfectly mastered through whatever obstacles they'd weathered in their own past. They would all be learning together today, and no matter how trying things might get today, she had faith in each of them to do their absolute best and that was all she expected of them.

Killian is the first to greet Taylor as the man steps in moments after Abigail and exchanges a bright smile and warm greet with the French woman who did little to try and hide the fact that she was not only surprised to see him here, but thrilled to know that he had wanted to be here for the grand opening when he truly could have been anywhere else, doing anything else other than sitting in some corner watching as Adelaide and her newfound companions took their first determined if not excited strides on this journey of theirs. He goes on to assure her in those familiar tenor tones that he wouldn't have missed her grand opening for the world and that she was going to do well, his words soften her smile that she gives him then. It touched her, warmed her heart to know that he only seemed to be there whenever she would metaphorically turn to look over her shoulder to see if just maybe he was still there beside her as he'd promised. It was still so incredible to the dark-haired woman that she'd met Taylor the way that she had, to think of how sudden and strong that bond between them had come to life the night that they'd met under less than favorable circumstances and only seemed to grow the following days after. For the first time, she had found someone that wasn't simply after her hand but instead he was there beside her, showing Adelaide that there were still good men out there in a world she had come so very close to thinking was without that age-old chivalry she'd only ever been able to experience on those etched pages which filled the library in the manor on that estate an ocean away. Sage eyes are quick to notice that look that Killian gives her and Taylor before he turns to state that he would get to work on that task she'd given him, that eagerness in his kind features bringing to the French woman's lips a thankful smile as Taylor takes a smell step aside to let the Irishman stride over to the bar where he wastes no time drinking in the design she'd envisioned for the bar only to quickly begin working with an energy that only fueled her own.

Elain reaches out to Taylor now, greeting the man with that brightness that she'd given Adelaide a readily, a knowing smile finding dusty rose-colored lips as the honey-blonde woman introduces herself in that cheerful voice that reminded Adelaide of sunny spring afternoons and babbling brooks that trickled through a peaceful wood. She could only imagine Elain excelling in the waitressing position she had been hired for despite that lack of experience she had, that friendliness and want to ensure that the customers were well taken care of and left happy and satisfied with the full bellies and service that they would easily recommend to friends, family, and perhaps even there own associates or people that would ask them for advice on the local flavors of the city. It all started with a smile and good will, after all did it not? Adelaide watches as Ellie simply beams another bright smile as Taylor greets her in turn before turning to finish the last table that required a vase and candles, humming happily to herself as she went about her task. Sage eyes fall over those hunter greens as he assures her that he very much enjoyed his job and that the company wasn't half bad either, throwing her a playful wink that only has Adelaide giving Taylor a coy smile in wordless answer as she lifts a brow at him."Is that so?", she purrs to him in those silken smooth accented words as her graze glitters impishly at the man. The French woman's attention then shifts to Abigail who seems to be giving her and Taylor a similar, almost knowing look as Killian had only moments before she moves over to where Elain busied herself with preening and precisely placing the white roses within that small ceramic vase surrounded by the three candles. The honey-blonde woman turns to smile warmly at her then as her new coworker and possible new friend comes to settle into place beside her, glacier blue eyes bright as Abigail asks her if she'd done anything like this before and if the younger woman had any advice or pointers."It's okay, I haven't been a waitress before either. But I've watched a lot of movies and stuff with diner scenes and it seems pretty easy. We just have to smile and write down their orders the take it over to the kitchen and make sure they make the right stuff. And then we make sure to carry the plates out without putting our fingers on the top parts of the plates where the food is and ask if they want refills on the heir drinks. Oh, and check on them periodically to make sure they don't need anything extra. You can take care of the tables on that side and I'll tend the ones over here, so we don't get confused", she replies with enough confidence and certainty that one would almost thing Elain had actually been a waitress once despite saying that she truthfully hadn't. She then places a reassuring hand on Abigail's shoulder, her smile softening as glacier blue eyes remain upon the other woman's pretty hazels."You'll do great, Abby, I'm sure of it! Just smile and take things a little slow until you start to get the hang of it. I'm sure the customers and Adelaide will understand completely. And if you need help, I'll be here too. We're all in this together", she continues warmly then, hoping that Abigail could see that she had meant ever single encouraging word.

Adelaide can't help the warm smile that finds her lips as she observes the two woman a small distance away at the table, pride and joy filling her as she witnessed something that could only serve as the embodiment of what it meant to be a team to the very core. She looks over to see Killian practically illuminated by pride as he makes sure the bar is absolutely perfect, knowing that no matter how busy they all would be, they would make this little place into something people far and wide would come to Sacrosanct for. Her attention is taken from the scene before her when those tenor tones reach for her in a quiet whisper, sage eyes turning once more to meet with Taylor's gaze as she feels his hand come to rest fleetingly on the small of her back, his words so full of warmth and encouragement that she could hardly refrain from leaning up to kiss his cheek, but she does. Now was neither the time nor the place for such affections and she was determined to be nothing but professional here in from of her team and so she simply lifts her hand to touch his strong forearm."Thank you all the same, Taylor", she answers back gently before watching him settle in that corner. She moves over to the front entrance facing the street to see a line of people already beginning to form outside the bistro. She could feel the excitement beginning to rise as she turns to look over Killian, Elain, and Abigail with a warm smile upon dusty rose-colored lips."Today marks a new chapter for us all, my friends. It will be a busy day and I am sure that we may come across a bump or two, but know this: I will be working alongside you every step of the way. Together, we will make Beachside Bar and Bistro talk of the town", she says to them all encouragingly before turning and opening the doors to that awaiting public. She quickly assumes the task as hostess, greeting each individual, couple, or group with warmth as she guides them to their tables, handing them menus and assuring them that they would be helped quickly. Elain is quick to dive right in, beaming that radiant smile as she begins taking orders, occasionally stopping by the bar to give Killian those drink orders before moving into the kitchen to give the food orders to the chefs bustling away behind those stainless steel appliances only to quickly move back out into the main lobby and to the next table, though she is quick to pause and give Abigail a quick look to ensure that she was doing alright. It isn't long before all the tables are filled and everything is in full swing, Adelaide moving easily between tables to ensure that all was well, before she finally comes over the Taylor's table with a coy smile finding her lips."Will you be wanting anything other than the coffee, Monsieur?", she inquires in those lilted lyrics, sage eyes glittering brightly as she waited patiently to see if there was anything that he desired to eat, slender hands folded neatly in front of her as dark chocolate locks cascaded over her shoulders.
