South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

Complacency. That was the young mother's problem. She had gotten too comfortable and let her guard down. Later, she would blame this entirely on herself. She should have been more alert. That struggle to keep on her feet and from passing out was the greatest fight she had ever been through. Nadya's pull on the pack bond to Frost had been answered, that much she was sure as that tether felt shorter and shorter. However, she wasn't sure if he'd get there in time. The only thing fueling Nadya at this point was the sheer adrenaline that came from being a mother. A trapped mama bear would die fighting to protect her offspring.

The sound of that massive equine crashing through the frozen landscape was like music to her ears. Frost's appearance meant she was no longer the Hunter's main target and released her to confront the newcomer. Nadya swayed on her feet but remained upright as she watched the stallion lunge at the first hunter. "Cierra tus ojos." She seemed to speak to no one but it was a warning to her hidden children to cover their eyes if they weren't already. She had taught them to cover their eyes and ears whenever instructed to hide but she also knew that toddlers sometimes needed reminding.

It was a good thing she did as the sight that unfolded was not meant for a child's eyes. Nadya had seen only a small portion of what Frost was capable of when she came across him battering Jackal in a male tantrum of sorts. It was nothing like what she saw now as the blood flowed and the cries of pain cut through the cold air. It was a mix of emotion, surprise and relief, knowing she wanted those hunters to pay but eyes opened to the carnage Frost was capable of. No words left her lips during the ordeal until her boyfriend finally approached her to inspect the trap. The earth beneath was stained with her blood. She watched with mute and distant fascination as the metal melted, his tender touch releasing her from the contraption. It was no surprise what was coming next when his hand lay on the wound, "No no no." She whispered in weak protest to Frost touching it, not wishing for him to endure the wound but he didn't heed her.

That pain ebbed away as Frost healed her wound but in doing so new pain crossed her features seeing the blood blossom at the cuff of his pants, knowing full well what the sight beneath the fabric held. Nadya would have gladly healed him though she was unsure if her strength would be able to do so completely. It was worth the try though as she made a move to lean towards Frost only to have him quickly reach towards the remaining hunter and transfer that wound to him. ...Well that was one way to do it.

Her gaze narrowed at the hunter Frost now presented her with, pleading for his life, as if they would have given any such consideration to herself or her children. If she hadn't stopped the twins it would have surely been one of them who stepped into the trapped. Their weaker and still growing bones would have inevitably been amputated by it. It was a miracle her own leg in feline form hadn't snapped completely often and only suffered a break. That thought alone caused Nadya's blood to boil as she glared at the man. Every last ounce of strength she had was concentrated into that singular ability aimed at exacting pain. The begging of the man became moans to screams of pain. Nadya did not let up, that anger and protectiveness over her offspring not allowing her to do so. Blood trickled from his eyes, nose, and ears until one last cry had his eyes rolling into the back of his head in death.

Only then did Nadya release her hold on him and with it her body gave out. All strength sapped from the ordeal. Her wound was healed but she had lost enough blood that would take time to replace. Nadya was suddenly aware of just how very cold she was having her bare body exposed to the elements for so long, her limbs paling and going numb. She wavered on her feet before allowing herself to fall against Frost. "Frost..." Nadya had never before been in a position of distress, she had always been able to defend herself and even fight for others. It was a rather unwelcome feeling. "The twins, they're in the scrub bush." The twins had yet to come out and remained curled up in their hiding place. They had been obedient at least, clasping their hands over their ears and their eyes shut tight but they would not come out until one of their pack got them.
