South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

Arlo could hardly help the fashion one eye raised upward almost curiously at Killian's assurance he would have to tell him that story of just why he came here one day. The man apparently not about to indulge him in it tonight. Had he killed someone? Arlo was mostly sure that was the reason most people ran away, at least, most vampires anyway and yet, he supposed, if Killian didn't want to share that story he was hardly going to make him. He'd remind him off it one day though. Arlo hardly the sought inclined to forget and really, a part of him was damn well curious of that long story all the same. That almost easy fashion in which Killian readily admitted to his sexuality was almost as surprising and yet, really, Arlo was beginning to wonder if everyone in this city just liked other dudes and he was the odd man out...er....so to speak. Still, his shoulders rose in that easy shrug, Arlo readily assuring the man if he was looking for a partner of any kind he was hardly going to have trouble, not in this city anyway. Hell, Arlo found them even when he wasn't trying too.

His own head shook lightly, brushing those thoughts aside for now. The vampire instead inquiring after that magic he was mostly sure the Warlock possessed. After all, he was magic wasn't he? Wasn't that the whole warlock deal? Besides, if he was magic why couldn't he just magic himself up a boyfriend or make someone love him? Arlo never before having considered that some magic might be considered 'dark' or 'taboo' in any sense. That warlocks might have rules of sorts had never occurred to him and yet really, why shouldn't they? Vampires had rules, sort off, the unspoken kind they all just simply knew existed. It made sense that others might too.

"What sort of spells are forbidden? Your allowed to talk about 'em right?"

That entrance gate loomed ahead of them now, Arlo's shoes scuffing against the pavement as he wandered beside his companion, his thoughts contemplating that very magic when that scent suddenly seemed to find him. Arlo's feet jerking to a stop abruptly as his hand lifted to catch Killian's arm and bring the warlock to a halt in turn. He could smell another vampire. His own near predatory senses flaring into life then as he near spun in place just in time to see.....Sebastian strolling through those gates. Killian seeming to tense a little beside him. Not that he blamed the man really and yet Arlo himself was almost relieved at the sight of one of the few vampires in this city he damn well got along with. His own form relaxing then as that grin found his features and that easy greeting was readily returned.

"Hey, bud. Damn well glad it was you I smelled then. Thought I was about to have a fucking fight on my hands."

After all, most vampires weren't exactly...tolerable off him. Arlo having lost count of the amount of covens who'd chased him out of town else sought to obliterate him entirely. A single, territorial vampire equally as aggressive when they wanted to be and yet he'd spent enough time with Sebastian to find himself largely relaxed in the other man's company. After all, the pair hardly shared a food source, that lack of competition between then surely facilitating that friendship. Along with Sebastian's willingness to allow Arlo to feed from him, that probably helped to, god he could smell Seb even now and yet....that scent of blood on Seb was hardly as strong as it normally was. Arlo's own species so making the man readily capable of deducing near exactly how long it had been since Sebastian himself had fed. The hunger in the other vampire becoming near abundantly clear as Killian and Seb made those introductions. Arlo's gaz shifting subtly from man to vampire then, Killian clearly....wary and yet that look in Sebastian's gaze, though well hidden was clear enough in turn. Great. The one time he tries to do a nice thing and help someone through the park and his friend wants to bloody eat him! Damnnit. His own lack of interest in eating Killian himself at least prompting that....lack of aggression towards Sebastian in turn.

Maybe he could convince Seb to....find someone else and yet really he doubted that all the same. Still, he had Killian first didn't he? That made him his by right and yet Seb knew as well as he did Arlo had no interest in feeding on the warlock himself. Killian hardly worth getting into a fight for in that sense, especially not with Seb. Arlo rather....fond of the englishman. Seb the closest thing he'd had to a real friend in a damn long time. Abby excluded. Arlo turning briefly to Killian then.

"Can you give us just a minute, Kill? I just gotta ask Seb about something. Don't go wandering off yeah? You'll get yourself lost. Stay there."

Well- it was true. If he went wandering off he was going to get lost and mauled by some other vampire. Arlo pausing to make sure Killian stayed before stepping slightly off that path, tugging Sebastian after him. His voice dropped low then and only just loud enough for that superior vampire hearing.

"Seriously, bud? I just told this guy I'd help him get through the park so no vampires mauled him and then you show up! You've got almost nothing in your own veins. I can't smell it on you- your hungry. Does it have to be this one?"
He paused, his eyes flicking briefly back towards Killian, one hand lifting to run through his hair again as it often did when the man was thinking. His gaze turned back to Seb then.

"To be honest I was hoping me marching him through here might bring a few vamps out for me to eat. It's fucking cold and I've been out here hunting for like an hour with no luck. If I.....let you have him you gotta help me find someone or....something yeah?"

He paused a second time, stepping away from Seb and back towards Killian then. That grin still on his face as he approached the warlock again.

"Hey, Kill. Looks like we might have to head up to the next gate, Seb said a couple a Hunter's have been hanging around here eh? Bit safer to just head up to the next gate yeah? Only about two minutes that way, come on."
He stepped forward again then, directing Killian back into the shadows of the park and away from the street and that exit, just in case anyone should come through it. How quickly Arlo's allegiances changed and yet, why shouldn't they? Maybe Arlo was the metaphorical apex of that food chain and yet- Sebastian was his source of food- a favoured source of food and one Arlo hardly dared to ruin by not yielding that mortal meal to him.

Maybe Seb would even let him have a little off his blood once he was done with Killian.....
