South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

dance to the rhythm of your heartbeat

Most would have listened to that voice in the back of their mind that was there for a reason, that came to life in moments not too unlike this one. It was that voice in the back of one's head that screamed to run, to look for an escape route and find an excuse, anything that might prove to be of some distraction to a degree just big enough that it would allow for one to slip away from that clearly felt danger. Yet, the blue-eyed blonde woman hesitates as she stands there on the path, turned so that she is facing the man. For a small moment in time, she wonders if maybe she should be worried that someone might appear behind her suddenly and snake strong arms around her so that she couldn't run, place calloused hands over her mouth so that she couldn't cry out for help... It was something thought that lasts for only a moment, though all it truly took was a moment to shake Beylani even further to her core. Things like that only ever happened in horror movies, right? And here, in broad daylight, what were the chances that no one would notice a woman bring abducted by a man dressed in those dark clothes that only seemed to fit that dark air that seemed to cling the him like the smoke that oozed through barely parted lips curled into to a smirk that only rattled the young woman that much more? Unlikely enough - or so she thought silently to herself - that she continues to struggle against that "fight of flight" instinct engraved into every living thing in one way or another. She hated the idea that she could just as easily be misjudging the man leaning there against the frozen bark of the tree beside him, remembering entirely too well how frightened she had been when she'd encountered Andras for the very first time during those twilight hours in the clearing where her better judgment hadn't been able to dissuade her from meandering through the park in the dark and so very alone. She could remember how she'd been frozen in place when the fae man had descended from his lounging place in the old oak, massive bat-like appendages snapping open as he charged her in a fearsome display that had made her heart feel as though it would burst from her breast. Despite the way that he had appeared so powerful and menacing, so startlingly capable of ending her ever so mortal life then and there, he'd only proven to be kind and gentle with a heart that she wished so desperately to call her own. If only, if only...

Yet, this was different. While the fear felt almost identical to what she'd felt that autumn night when she'd found Andras, that same want to turn and run very much present in every fiber of her being, she was incapable of moving. She dares to think for a moment that just maybe it was some sort of power that the fae man wielded which anchored her in place, but something in her told Beylani that wasn't the case. Like a deer in headlights, a mouse cornered by the lion, she was frozen in the wake of that unexplainable uncertainty and uneasiness that sunk invisible claws into her. He removes his broad shoulders from the tree then as he moves to take a step forward, eyes like smoldering fire fixated in such an animalistic way that it keeps her stilled in her spot. Dark and accented words comment on the same observation that the young woman had made mere moments ago, mentioning now that couple. For reasons she couldn't quite understand, his comparison left her feeling all the more unsettled, baby blue eyes glittering with confusion as she can't rid herself of that suspicion he had something to do with the couple no longer happy like they'd been when Beylani had passed by them. She wants to ask him what he'd done, but she doesn't, stricken into wary silence in the wake of his dark laughter. Helpless... That was how she felt in this moment as she watched him flick that dead cigarette into a nearby puddle from the rain thay had fallen only a few hours ago, baby blue eyes following those hands as they reached into that pocket to pull out the package and retrieve yet another, skilfully depositing the small paper box into the pocket of his navy blue leather jacket before reaching into the pocket of his black shirt and lifting the lighter up to that rolled tobacco, igniting it before returning the small item back into its proper place.

As though he took some sort of twisted pleasure in that apprehension he effortlessly trapped her in, the fae man is moving towards her now, that space between them shrinking quicker than she could have ever been able to prepare herself for even though he was hardly moving faster than a saunter in that slow and predatory manner as his gaze continued to hold her own forcefully, rendering her unable to look away even when she wanted to. Gruff British words roll over his tongue almost contemplatively as he prowls ever closer to her, causing her heart to race in her chest. So, he'd been watching her... following her here to where they stood now, having likely waited until there wasn't a soul anywhere nearby. She wishes with every fluttering heartbeat that she would have decided to bring Ellie with her today, feeling certain that had she not been alone, he wouldn't have trailed after her. She swallows nervously as the realization dawns on the woman that he'd practically hunted her, those warnings from Dorian and Andras only ringing louder in her thoughts when suddenly the man is reaching for her. Reflexively, slender fingers clutch at the camera held to her chest a little tighter as the voice in her mind screams for her to move away even just one step. But she can't. He lifts her chin up delicately then, turning to blow a plume of smoke once again from that cigarette between his lips. His words wrap around her again and he speaks of a woman that she reminded him of, but her thoughts hardly linger there as his gravelled voice trails off and those amber eyes seem to peirce those bright baby blues. An odd sensation coils around her then, only to dissipate moments later like she'd imagined the feeling, but then fae man suddenly gives a dark and malicious chuckle. His next words have her eyes widening, seeming to finally be that push she needed to take a few wary steps away. Had he... read into her thoughts, her mind, and found Andras there!? Was this the dark magic she'd been told to be wary of? It seems that her fear finally reaches that point where she is freed from thay previously frozen state, though she refuses to take her baby blue eyes off him."I-I'm sorry, sir. You must have me mistaken for someone else", she says quietly as she sidesteps around him to return the way that she'd come. She needed to get back to her car, needed to go home... she needed to get away from him.
