South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

watching a good friend go

South

She could tell something about Miyako's vampire friend made her sad. Maybe they weren't getting along right now? She wanted to be able to gossip with Miyako and find out what was going on in her life, act like real human friends. But maybe they would never be like other normal human friends cause they weren't normal. At least, she wasn't. She let the subject drop, watching Miyako stare into her drink like she wanted it to swallow her up or something. She only said one word when Malia explained that she kept her mind when she turned but when she didn't ask anything else, Malia shifted and drank some more for lack of anything else to do. She didn't want this to be awkward but she didn't know how to fill the silence when she couldn't just speak whatever came to mind. When Miyako told her that she was getting better, Malia practically beamed at her, her eyes twinkling. "Thanks." She could still sense some wariness to Miyako's scent when she looked at her but at least she was still her with her. That had to count for something.

At least when she mentioned her dream, Miyako seemed genuinely interested. She caught onto Miyako's excitement as she leaned forward. She told her that humans don't usually remember that far back but maybe it was a memory for her since she wasn't normal. She said they had to be important since it was a recurring dream and Malia bit her lip, shifting in her seat eagerly. "That's what I thought!" She lowered her voice, realizing she was practically yelling in her excitement. She scowled thoughtfully. "I just wish I knew what to do with it. It's always the same scene playing out. Nothing really changes and I never see more than the few glimpses of them. I don't even know if they're alive or dead. How do I find someone with just a memory?" She let some frustration into her voice. It had been eating at her for a long time, more so since she found out what she was since she could voice it now.

When she brought up the Hunters, Miyako seemed shocked, calling it barbaric, whatever that meant, before she said that was probably how she ended up in Sacrosanct. Malia scowled and shook her head. "No, I came here with my pack over a year ago. You just didn't see me cause I was in the woods." She smirked at the better memories before her face sobered. "They attacked me while I was in the city, the alleys, to be exact. I was....hunting." She didn't want to mention that she was actually after a house cat. "Anyway, one of them shot me and I shifted when I panicked then Henry showed up and took me to his place. You should ahve seen the look on his face. I guess thinking about it now, it must have been crazy to find a naked girl with an arrow in her leg in the middle of the city but he was a good guy. Gave me his shirt and everything then he pulled the arrow out and helped me clean up." She smiled, fond of the memories with Henry when he found her.

She was glad Miyako didn't flinch away when she touched her after explaining her fear of animals. Instead Miyako smiled and said that she was her best friend too. Malia grinned, her eyes shining with happiness of the news. She watched as Miyako paid for the drinks before she stood, saying she had to go and that she wanted to hang out again. Malia nodded. "Of course. I'll try not to attract so much attention next time." She smirked. She watched as Miyako left, waving her hand. "See you later, Miyako." Her voice trailed off as she watched her disappear around the corner. She felt much better now that Miyako left. Now she just had to figure out how to help her get past the fear of animals thing.
