South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

But if this is where I belong, I won't satisfy

"What IS that racket?" Navi bellowed as she shuffled irritated, adjusting herself on the tree branch she tried to rest upon. There was plucking of strings that if played right, probably would lull her to sleep. Yet, the person who was playing, hardly attempted to produce some pleasant sounds with the constant twinges and abrupt stopping whenever they got a chord wrong. Oh, how did it test her patience. Hyde park was the only area where she could find some sense of peace whenever her and Andras had to come back to Sacro. She always would climb up into the trees and laying away the day and night or finding solstice in the books Andras had gave her. It had been difficult at first as she dabbled in all sort of textbooks, arranged in all various languages but after a few readings she swiftly got the hang of it. There was a world that opened before her eyes as she furiously studied each book, memorizing every last word there was.

Reading helped put her to sleep as well. She had found herself again, up in a nice birch tree after a riveting book on philosophy, trying to sleep until that damn noise had kept her tossing and turning. After loosing any patience that Navi had, Which was not much to begin with, she swiftly bounced from tree to tree, finding herself staring at a woman with a pigeon down below. Seeing the bird, she bubbled with curiosity. She slipped down from the thick branch and fell excitedly towards the ground. "Does that mistral pigeon accompany you? How did you get it to do that? Especially with this weather, isn't it cold?" she shoots off the questions intensely circling and studying the odd girl and seemingly frightened pigeon. "Also, you should learn to play that thing right. Your sound is all wrong." She honestly spoke. "How long have you tried to play that?" she questioned, eyes still glued to the pigeon. "Can I pet you?" she sticks out her finger, ruffling the feathers of the pigeon gently. "It's a whole other level of a domesticated bird," Navi snorted, amused by the thought.

The woman seemed to have no immediate response to the list of questions Navi presented her. "Do you talk?" Navi inquired fiercely. She had seen the instrument before once in an instruction book that Andras gave her. "That's a guitar, right? It's got to be a Stag dreadnought...SA20D, right?" she stated confidently. "Perhaps if you adjusted the truss rod it would sound less like it was buzzing all the time," she mentioned. Just like the sporadic thick snowflakes that had danced to the ground, Navi's thoughts and questions became more and more erratic. "What exactly are you doing her playing it anyway, it's bad to introduce your instruments into a different drastic climate suddenly. It can be damaging and make the tune go completely out of whack," she nodded with concern. With her interest quickly weaning back to the pigeon she crouched down, now playing with the pigeon. She had always gotten along with animals, mostly because animals seemed to be made up of innocence and instinct. A lot of people gave pigeons especially tons of slack, but they were fierce hunters and surprising to most people, highly intelligent. "Did you know that pigeons can recognize individual people by their facial characteristics? Or that they can learn abstract mathematical rules? The only other non-humans known to have the same ability is the rhesus monkeys. Interesting, yes?" she babbled with pride. "Yours seems to be very capable, I wonder why he sticks around you, especially when you make such awful noise," Navi spoke without thinking whether or not she was being rude. "Who are you?" she asked, finally showing some interest in the person who sat leaned upon the tree.
