South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

feel the rhythm getting louder

dance to the rhythm of your heartbeat

Grateful for so many reasons that she and Dorian had encounted one another by nothing more than pure chance, she found herself realizing that she'd never had a friend in her life before quite like the fae man whose silver gaze seemed to resonate with a deep understanding of those feelings that plagued the young woman. Yes, she'd had friends in the past and yes, there was a wide variety of reasons why none of them could come close to Dorian in her eyes, but it ran so much deeper than those simple and more obvious things. None of her past friends had ever seemed to truly care enough about how the blue-eyed blonde felt in that particular moment. They would ask if she was alright, told her several times that if ever she needed someone to talk to, they were there for her. The only thing was, they never really seemed to keep that promise of support, even just being there to be a shoulder for her to lean on. As Dorian reaches out for her hand, silver gaze so soft and gentle with accented words just as compassionate and understanding as his touch, she found herself truly lucky to have him in her life. He was the very first in her world whom she could pour out her heart to and find a sense of understanding. She knew that Ellie would listen to her each and every aching word and desperate want, the honey-blonde woman surely ready to be there beside Beylani to comfort her with a soft smile and gentle encouragement, but it wasn't quite the same. It wasn't comfort by that look of understanding that seemed to say without words "I understand entirely what it is you're feeling". There was something to be found in sharing such deep and powerful feelings within another soul that knew exactly what that she felt like, someone that remembers well a time where they too had felt lost and without a guiding light as they became at the mercy of those raging emotions. While she knew that the honey-blonde young woman who had quickly become her closest friend, that radiant smile enough to help Beylani forget for at least a little while about those unrelenting waves of clashing emotions that would inevitably return when she was alone, it was Dorian and his comfort that he lent her simply by telling her that there was nothing wrong in the way that she loved Andras despite so firmly certain that the fae lord would never in a thousand lifetimes feel the same which offered her more than a temporary escape. It was almost as though his reassurance allowed for her to find an acceptance she had been denied so many days and nights before now, his gentle understanding nearly quelling those raging and dark waters that threatened to break her entirely.

Offering him a thankful and warm smile as he removes his hand from its fleeting resting place over her own, his kind words only ease her further."That means a lot to me, Dorian. Truly. And if there is ever a time where you need the same, I promise to be there as well", she replies in gentle fondness for the fae king she considered herself eternally indebted to in this moment of pure vulnerability. Was there anything that she couldn't tell him? Something in her heart assures her that there was little she might ever be in a position where the words would refuse to tumble over blush-colored lips, that no matter how alone she might feel or how sure she was that no one in this world and beyond would ever be able to say that they understood what it was that weighed on her mind and spirit, Dorian would be there to open those floodgates and allow for those thoughts and feeling to come rushing forth, unafraid and unjudged. How many could truly say that they had such a friend in the life that they could tell their deepest secrets and hardware struggled to? Gods knew that she wanted to tell Andras those very same things that spilled over her tongue and through glittering baby blues for the very first time to her that very first friendly face she had stumbled across that autumn afternoon in Hyde Park... but she just... couldn't. Still she was torn between pouring her heart out to the fae man she loved and keeping them to herself, feeling so certain that the moment she told him all that her heart harbored, everything that they had now would come crumbling down around her without any chance of ever being restored. Part of her knew that hanging on the way that she was would only make things that much harder when she would finally have to face reality instead of trying to hide away in that perfect world her dreams had given her the illusion of. And yet, the other half of her was hardly ready to come to terms with just how hopeless her feelings for him truly were. She wanted to stay trapped in this mirage, if only for just a little while longer, pretending that all her heart cried almost desparately for could be made real one day... she just had to hope and pray for a little longer. How foolish, the heart that loved so deeply and so carelessly that it needed not even the clearest or warnings. How agonizing, the soul that was prepared to ache until at point of being utterly lost and broken beyond hope of ever healing for that small chance that just maybe there would be one more sunset before everything fell completely apart. A day would come where she would have to tell Andras. This she knew unquestionably. She could only hope that it was not any day soon, because that would be the day that she would lose him, and she just wasn't ready to give it all up.

Their conversation shifts to the matters of the impending wedding and Beylani does little to hide the excitement in her own gaze as she admires the way that Dorian just seemed to glow at the idea of his and Sebastian's big day when they would take one another as that other half of their heart and soul in a way that only marriage could bring two being a together as. She hoped that if ever the day came that she would be in Dorian's place, She would look just as bright and happy as he did. The emotions shift though when the controversy of today's modern ideas make their way to the present, the clear disbelief in Dorian's expression assuring her that while he had always been so kind and so warm with her, there was a much stronger and perhaps even stubborn aide to him that she hadn't really seen before. But such was the wonders of getting to know another on a deeper level. Not everyone wore their whole selves on their sleeves, after all. Beylani being one of them. Dorian had yet to see that similar nature in the young woman that had defied the fear Andras has tried to impose on her when he and the blue-eyed blonde woman first met under the pre-dawn sky in that clearing. Although, perhaps he'd caught a small glimpse when the threesome had taken to enjoying that late autumn tea party at his extravagant mansion in Acosta Heights. It wasn't as though she were trying to hide anything from Dorian or anything of the sort, hardly ever wanting to keep anything from him that he might ask after unless it was a secret another entrusted in her care. Rather, it was simply a lack of spending more time together that perhaps the fae king had yet to see past her warm smiles and brightly spoken words. Perhaps after the wedding, after he and Sebastian spent those first few weeks in nothing but the other's company as reveled in the next chapter of their lives together, she and Dorian might be able to spend more time together. Only if he had the time to, of course. He was royalty after all, and soon he would not only have one kingdom looking to him, but also a husband that would surely pine for him more than ever once their bond was only strengthened by those vows of unfaltering love and loyalty to one another. Then last thing that Beylani would ever want was to seem as though she were selfishly seeking the fae man's attention with her own petty wants for his compassionate and understanding ways. Not that he would ever allow for things to reach such a point, but all the same she knew that in spite of his words spoken earlier, she wouldn't be able to count on him to be that salve to those deep wounds that so cut into her.

When the sudden presence of a strange man a short distance away has the small family sitting a couple tables away, even Ellie jumping ever so subtly at the unexpected disturbance, everything is quick to smooth other as the unusual man with that simper upon his features takes the empty seat between Beylani and Dorian. At first, she might have guessed them to be brothers perhaps, though it puzzled the young woman that Dorian hadn't spoken of such a sibling. Ellie moves away once that order was given, Dorian's introduction of the man now sitting with them seeing her baby blue eyes widen in surprise. He certainly didn't look old enough to be her friend's father, and yet she hardly knew anything about how fae aged and if perhaps each ceased growing at unique times or if there was a certain year that Father Time no longer afflicted them. Matteo interiors Dorian, and it only deepens her surprise that he knew her but she remains politely silent she for that simply greeting for fear of appearing rude. She notices the unease in Dorian, but dismisses it gently for Matteo hardly seemed malicious, though when his words offer some sort of explanation on why he was here, she too is unnerved slightly. She knew that supernatural being a had talents and gifts she couldn't even imagine, and she wonders then what it was this man with a warm simper and smooth accented tenor tones were capable of... His question has her unsure of how exactly to answer him, and yet her reply seems accepted by Matteo as he continues to regard her as Ellie returns with the ordered dishes before slipping away once more. It is then that Matteo speaks again and this time, something in his words causes her heart to skip in her chest beneath the puzzlement dancing through her baby blue eyes. His? Did he mean... Andras? And if so, how did he know of them? Maybe she was reading into things wrong... She wants to ask him questions and yet she hesitates, unsure if he would welcome her likely foolish curiosities. She hardly needs to ask a question though as the man brushes aside a piece of his hair before that familiar name finds Matteo's words. There was little room for misunderstanding that whatever it was his words meant, they were in fact somehow significant to herself and the fae man she loved... but how? What was it that Matteo knew which neither she nor Andras knew? Unless Andras knew and simply hadn't told her... And if so, why wouldn't he have told her whatever it was that Matteo was speaking of? She tries to remain steady, and yet she falls just short as baby blue eyes widen speechlessly. She was stronger than she knew? How so? For a moment, she dares to think that he knew she and Andras weren't meant to last, if perhaps his words meant that the very thing she hoped would not find her soon was much closer than she expected... There were so many questions she had just on the tip of her tongue and yet still she could not find her voice.

Even Dorian's own expression is wide-eyed as he is the one to question what meaning those words were intending to depart unto Beylani, his accented words voicing that very question she herself wanted to ask Matteo. The elder faeirie reaches for that clearly cut half of her friend's sandwich before his attention is once again fixated upon Beylani. His next string of words only leave the young woman ever more confused. If he was not good at telling the truth, then what did his words spoken only moments ago mean? Perhaps nothing? Perhaps he simply sought to unsettle the woman, which her accomplished the very moment he ushered her full name. She gives him a small nod despite the confusion that flickered across her gaze."Of course", she promises the fae man then, still failing to know how it was that she should address him. And, as quickly as he'd appeared before them, he bids them both farewell before vanishing into this air, leaving but a part of that sandwich where he had been sitting seconds ago before Dorian could demand that he stay to perhaps better explain things. The fae king turns to search for Matteo before his silver gaze finds Beylani once more, offering her an apology of sorts in regards to his father, assuring her that he might be able to find the other fae man if he hurried before asking if they could have lunch another time. Shaking herself of the confusion that still flustered her mind, she offers Dorian a gentle smile."I'm fine... I think. And yes, we can certainly have lunch another time. Thank you for coming today, Dorian. And, good luck, um... finding your father again", she answers sweetly. Even if their time together was cut short, she was still happy that she got to see Dorian for at least a few moments. It surely didn't seem like he'd expected for his father to simply show up the way that he had, but Beylani knew perfectly well that parents could have a strange talent for calling or appearing at some of the most untimely of instances. She lifts her form then to take that first mouth-watering bite of her food, baby blues watching Dorian fondly as he stands from his seat and takes his leave. There would always be another afternoon for the two of them, and it was this knowing that the young woman easily contented herself with.
