South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

TRYING NOT TO WASTE MY TIME

"Exactly like from Othello," he says, his broodish demeanor brightening slightly. It was not that often than people knew where the name was from, despite Othello being one of Shakespeare's more popular works. More often than not though, they gave Benjamin a weird look after he would tell them his pup's name, and Benji would inwardly roll his eyes, deciding he didn't want to explain where the name came from. Thinking it wasn't really worth the effort.

Des wiggles in her arms, obviously anxious to get down and meet the girl the man and his dog pair had stumbled upon. Benjamin obliges and gently sets her down. The puppy lifts up onto her hind legs, eager to jump on the girl she had just met, but Benjamin steps in before she is able to get any mud that no doubt clung to her paws onto the girl. "No," Benjamin says firmly. "Sit," and when the pup minds his command, the man with amber eyes reaches down and pats her briefly. "She's still learning," he says with a shrug, knowing there wasn't much that could be done to control a wild, young puppy.

"Pleasure to meet you, Emerson, I mean Emmy," he corrects himself, darting his eyes away for a moment before returning them back the blonde. "I'm not big on nicknames," he says, wrinkling his nose slightly. For someone who didn't like nicknames, it was an unfortunate twist of fate to have been named Benjamin. Every new school he went to, or every new teacher he had, or new classmates, he always had to insist that everyone call him Benjamin, not Ben or Benny. Why did everyone seem to have an incessant need to shorten his name. Wasn't Benjamin good enough? Although, not having anyone call him by a nickname wasn't entirely honest. It was his mom who was the first to call him Benji, and then Caroline. And every time they called him that, it was the only time he didn't internally cringe.

"Yeah, being a pleasant surprise is kind of how we stumbled upon each other. I found her in an abandoned warehouse on the west side of town, buried beneath some rubble," he says, and the puppy looks up at him as if she was remembering the day Benjamin adopted her. But the young man turns his amber gaze back to the blonde when she mentions she had been walking and thinking, simply nodding in return. He does not press and ask what she was thinking about, Benjamin had never been one to pry, it simply wasn't his nature.

She extends a hand to pup before asking if she could pet her and Benjamin nods once more in response. The pup eagerly bumps her hand, obviously unable to resist getting a pat on the head. "She's about 3 months old, I think," he says, pondering for a moment. "Umm it's hard to tell since I just found her on the street," he admits before admitting one additional thing. "I also don't know that much about dogs, I never had one growing up, so it has kind of been a learn as I go process." He gives his dog a quick scratch behind the ear. "Did you have any of pets?"
