South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Being abused can really affect a person terribly. The individual could suffer from low self-esteem. They could be quite shy. Incapable of controlling their own emotions. No matter how they were abused, and for whatever reason, their brain was branded in knowing that it was all their fault, and they deserved it. For too long Raven had been stuck in this endless self-hurting cycle. It had taken many years for Raven to finally accept that how she was treated by her own family was absolutely wrong, and in no way was it all her fault. Through all that pain she endured the woman, somehow, held an unyielding desire to care and protect others. That soft heart would wind up getting her in trouble or hurting her in the long run. Anyone dark could manipulate that part of her. Yet she was fortunate enough to be within a new family that cared for her just as much as she cared for them. It should be no surprise at all that once she heard about the helpless sea turtles she was eager to do whatever she could to help the little things. Luckily she didn't have to do it all alone!

If anyone knew Tobias they would know that helping her protect prey and not eat it...was a very big deal. Her mate was capable of following her plea. His fantastic work ethic meant that he needed to be rewarded. She had no food to give him so she would treat him to a fun game. After all it was easy for them to start a race! It was unfortunate though that she had no idea that there would be someone else spending their early morning on the beach. Tumbling and rolling into his lap she was absolutely mortified. She was quite a cautious creature. As a werewolf she knew that their kind was territorial and they didn't appreciate it when someone pressed in on their space. Changing into her human form she quickly got up, extending a hand to help him.

As soon as she was up and standing on the sand she backed a few feet away to give him space. He was a male and that particular gender was a bit more aggressive. Keeping her head down her eyes went down so as not to show she was challenging him. That presence of her mate was enough to soothe her nerves as she felt his tail brush against her leg. Shyly her head would tilt upwards as he spoke. The gentle sea wind would push back some of those golden-brown curls revealing her beautiful, but scarred face. Her cheeks would transform to a slight pink and suddenly a deep dark red, thoroughly embarrassed by his words. Holding her hand over her mouth she released a very soft chuckle, blue-grey eyes darting from him to the ground again. Gently she responded bashfully.

"Oh...um...thank you."

There were only two souls in the world that called her beautiful, her mate and her royally famous friend. In fact there was a special book filled with his drawings, and other people's drawings, that showed Raven in her human or wolf form. Her mate had drawn her as he saw her, flawless. Her entire frame was littered with jagged deep scars, some longer than others, some shorter, and they were everywhere. When her mate joined their little circle she looked over at him giving him a gentle smile as she eyed him carefully. He was always territorial and the other Were didn't seemed so threaten by their presence. Looking over to Tarquin she noticed that look he was giving her. With a reassuring nod, to confirm Tobi was okay, she looked over to her mate once more. Tarquin's quip about her running into him caused her to blush profusely once more. Her gentle voice wavered slightly above the sound of the waves crashing softly against the beach.

"It's Raven actually, and it's nice to meet you Tarquin."

The werewolf had no idea, but he had accidentally triggered something in her. Hearing that he was new here and looking for a place to stay just caused those motherly instincts and that will to help others to flare up. Curiously she gently began to pry the man open just a little bit. After all if he needed any assistance, the better she knew, the more she could possibly help!

"We were actually just playing around a bit. Welcome to Sacrosanct by the way. Are you looking for a place to stay for a few days, or are you thinking of making this place your home?"
