South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

Other than her healing ability and the pain manipulation, Nadya had never fully demonstrated her other abilities to Frost. The faint look of surprise that crossed his features amused her though. A soft smirk pulled at the corners of her lips as she gestured for Frost to continue explaining the general plan to the group. While she had some doubts about the boy's age that he pulled, they would make everything work...somehow. It was those quick thoughts to perhaps needing a larger distraction that might make this task go smoother.

Nadya nodded mutely in understanding; tomorrow would give them a better idea on what could be thrown together. Her own gaze swept the group when he called again for anyone unwilling to make it known now. If even one person faltered at a step, it could mean disaster for them all so it was best to weed them out now. She watched as none stepped forward and then began milling out once dismissed. Only then did Frost join her side on the edge of the bed. The weight of the past few days and what was to come was so obviously heavy upon his shoulders. Nadya gently rested a hand on his leg, "The first step is done." It also had gone relatively well considering.

The young woman couldn't help the soft smile seeing that genuine emotion from Frost as his mother's encouragement. She was glad if nothing else that he was able to see his mother again. Nadya's attention turned at the sudden knocking at the door. Hunters didn't knock. The pair that stepped through weren't much different than the ones that had just left aside from the darker hair of the woman who entered. The boy at the woman's side wasn't so strikingly similar to Frost as the little girl was but it was assumed seeing as Frost had requested Katrin to bring any of his willing to meet him to the home. What wasn't expected was the way in which the woman practically lunged herself at Frost, whom was near knocked down when standing to greet her. It was surely more exuberant than the last woman and it caused Nadya's nerves to bristle. Apparently this one wasn't going to be the same and it caused her to stand to be at Frost's side instead of sitting off to the side.

Nadya's gaze shifted to the boy when he stood taller, proud of his father's comment. He was quite a handsome young boy and Nadya internally hoped their own would gain Frost's fair which seemed to be quite a dominant trait so far. It was a shame that the moment had to be sullied by his mother's...confusion. How could she think Frost was hers? He had had children with other women since her. Were there couples here despite the different children? That was a confusing thought for Nadya which was interrupted by Ebony's pointed question on if they had children together. Did that make someone a couple to her? This caused Nadya to raise a brow, glancing over at Frost who hardly missed a beat before declaring they had two. She had never once tried to make Frost be that to them, but here and now he was declaring them his and she wasn't about to give details if he felt this wasn't the right situation for it.

"You'll find that much of the outside world and even our pack, are not horses." Nadya offered after Frost had silenced Ebony with firm words though even that raised brow had hardly faded. "We've never turned anyone away for what their Were is." Even Malia whom was perhaps the smallest of them had never been treated as inferior to her packmates. She was every bit as a contributing member as the next. It was important, to Nadya, that Ebony understand that any speciesism she had was going to get her nowhere fast with them.

When the child was finally taken outside by his grandmother Frost was able to explain his plans...if only just. When Ebony interjected declaring they weren't leaving and even going so far as to suggest the boy would become a commander's horse, Nadya could sense that tension begin to rise within Frost. Nadya reached beside her to place a hand on Frost's forearm in a way of keeping him grounded and reassuring him. While Nadya would thoroughly tell Ebony off the same for putting her child's life on the front lines like that, here and now would hardly make any difference in the matter. The woman had just been told that any shred of hope she had at having Frost was gone and that alone had caused her to dig her heels in. "Let her go." Nadya whispered as Ebony stormed from the house.

A frown etched her features seeing Frost practically sag back down onto the bed. There were many nights he had come back from whatever work it was he disappeared to with that same drained look. Nadya sighed softly as she resettled beside him, brushing her fingers through his hair before stealing a gentle kiss from his lips. "You don't need to apologize for someone else's behavior. There's still time she could change her mind." For that she would hope Ebony would see clearer tomorrow night. "You don't think she'd try to...stop it...do you?" There was always that dreaded possibility that someone could tip off the hunters and what better of a candidate than a woman who felt scorned?

Nadya glanced over at Gaeska and Katrin returning minus the boy. "Is there an empty house that we could hunker down in for the night? It's been a long day and we should all get some rest for what's needed tomorrow."
