South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. I'm about to make my own way, heaven help me keep my faith

There was a part of Kathryn that thought that maybe this place was cursed. Since coming her to Sacrosanct her life had been a supernatural whirlwind of chaos and it had taken some time for the icy blue eyed witch to gain her barrings. But perhaps now, as she sits beside the ocean and no longer does she fear the wind that surrounds her, but instead feels a gentle comfort by the way it tugs at her hair and brushes against her face. She thinks, perhaps, she could get used to this city and all of the magic it has to offer the witch.

"It is indeed," she responds. Since having gained some control of the wind element, Kathryn has only realized just how strong and powerful simply one area of nature is. "It demands attention, like a toddler throwing a tantrum," she says, thinking back to the wind whipping around her, practically stealing the breath from her lungs. Kathryn had learned rather quickly that the forces of nature were not something to be taunted and teased, and one always needed to know their place when it came to such matters. While Brennan though may think the weather is like a woman, Kathryn thinks it is so much like a man. Always doing exactly what you don't want it to.

The young, dark haired witch was entirely aware of how...exposed the rain had caused her to be. Those silver blue eyes of hers catch his own bright eyes glancing down at her chest, more than once. Heck, more than twice even. After she asks the waitress for something to cover her, Kathryn returns her glacial gaze to the warlock. "Stop smirking at me like that," she says with narrowed eyes, though still a hunt of a smile rests on those lips of hers. But that smile quickly becomes whole with her next words. "Your viewing pleasure is about to end," she teases with that accomplished grin. Once she was able to get that sweatshirt maybe he would stop looking at her like that. Though, knowing Sacrosanct, she wouldn't be surprised if he had x ray vision or something. It really would be just her luck now too.

Kathryn watches the lighting hit the water, and she is reminded of fire. A rather new gift for the sable haired witch. She wonders too, if maybe, she could control such a thing as lightning, electricity, plasma. But the desire to satiate her curiosity is driven out by the desire not to die by lightning storm in testing her hypothesis. She would rather be alive and ignorant, then dead and knowledgeable when it came to a subject such as that. She hardly expects such a response from the warlock, and the witch finds herself laughing along with him as the couple runs in from the rain. It was during this bout of laughter that the waitress returns with a sweatshirt and Kathryn offers a 'thank you' in her direction. "You two seem to be having fun here," she says before Kathryn looks to her brief as those eyes roll in the direction of the dark haired warlock. "Hardly," she responds, stubborn it seemed to admit that Brennan was certainly not terrible company to have on this rainy afternoon. As he clutches his chest, those silver blue eyes once more narrow playfully in response to him before rolling in disbelief.

"Oh trust me, I know," she says, growing up surrounded by whiskey, she had certainly learned a thing or two...or twenty. "I have family back in Ireland," she says, thinking of all she has learned about her coven. "My Gram and Grandad were born there," she says. "What about you? Any family there?" Simple questions, but no doubt both of them harbor secrets behind the answers that they give. "I would like to go some day. We have traveled around Europe, but conveniently managed to avoid Ireland," she says with a laugh. Family drama did not even begin to cover it.

He voices his opinions on the girly, sugary drinks and Kathryn simply nods in response. "If you wanted a fruit smoothie then going to Jamba Juice not the bar," she says with a roll of her eyes. Kathryn blamed her grandad for making her an alcohol snob. She couldn't drink anything under a certain price range without cringing, and any drink with more than two ingredients was quick to be cast aside. She doesn't make any side comments about the fruity drinks before just looking him in the eye with a coy smile on her lips. "Whiskey. Neat. Why drink anything else when you can just have the good stuff?" She says with a shrug. It is then those glacial blues look the pirate up and down, impish gleam within them. "You look like a Pina Colada man to me," she says with a laugh.

"You talk about your twelfth shot of whiskey like you have been there before," she accuses with an arched eyebrow. She listens to him and the lack of story he seemed unwilling to share. Though Kathryn can hardly blame him. She was a stranger, and it never ended well to unload all of your baggage onto one single person, especially if you didn't know them well. But then he says that word. How the hell did everyone know she was a witch? But perhaps he meant it a different way. Better play dumb. "I'm sorry, what did you call me?" She says before taking another sip of her drank, thinking this may wind up being a very interesting conversation after all.
