South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

How very far this bartender was pressing his luck tonight. Such wilful...disrespect. Darcy content to continue to eye the man each time Raylin turned away from him, his teeth very near grating over one another in contemplation of just how very much he might like to tear that fool apart. His intended prey for this evening was young, naive, blindly trusting and easy. Yet- he had hardly anticipated she might have some sort of guardian. One whose instincts, it seemed, were far more attuned to his own intentions. 'Tim' was getting in his way and more then that- he was starting to become a little...aggravating. How readily his features shifted once more the moment that young woman turned back toward him. Darcy appearing very much that baffled farm boy, confused about just why a man he had never met seemed to take such disdain in his presence. How harsh the city was compared to the country. How difficult it was to navigate. Yes, poor him. Raylin, it seemed, fell readily for that ruse as she extended her hand to rest comfortingly agianst the cool flesh of his arm. How warm her hand was. Warm and alive and filled with blood. He could hear it rushing through her veins and dancing around her body with every beat of her little heart. That hunger coiling within his stomach once more. How sorely this was testing at his patience. Just a little more. The vampire forcing that warm simper to his lips by way of thanks for that caring gesture before he spoke about that hole in the wall. The one caused by a brawling vampire and wolf. Tim The Hero apparently having pulled them apart. Either Tim was far stronger then he looked- or the man had a death sentence. Darcy inclined to believe it was the latter. That grin upon his lips looking almost impish at the suggestion that maybe Tim was sweet on her and that that might yet be the reason for the way he acted.

Raylin was quick to giggle. That sound girlish and light and somehow only further increasing his hunger. As if that predator within him respond to that innocence within her. Those dark desires twisting like a serpent only tighter around her then and yet how very innocent his own features remained as she insisted Tim was far more like a Father then a love interest and that she had left the bar with more than one man before. Darcy allowing that single eye to lift in surprise. Raylin, it seemed, unafraid to voice her conquests. How stupidly trusting she was of the world and yet- how much easier it made his own job. The vampire having the nerve to appear almost bashful at her mention of 'leaving the bar with guys' as if he hadn't, in the early days after he was turned and before he met his Risque, fucked anything that moved.

"Naaaw, yar probably right, he's probably just worried 'bout ya is all."

She was quick to offer her phone towards him. That ancient damn brick pushed back towards her with falsified good grace. Darcy insisting instead he merely needed a few directions, if she might be kind enough to come outside and show him the way. The woman, as he suspected, readily agreeing. Even if she insisted they have a drink first- before commenting on that ocean as if it was some sort of amazing, incredible thing. Maybe it had been, once, years ago. When Risque had shown it to him the first time. Christ, he hadn't thought of that memory in years. He couldn't....remember what it had felt like to be awed by something. Yet he had been. All those years ago. Seeing that ocean for the very first time. Risque had been...amused at his awe. She'd even stopped the car and let him get out to stand on that sand- daring him to touch the water. That faint simper on his lips at that memory the most genuine emotion he'd had all night and yet it faded near as quickly as it had come. The ocean, now, held little awe for him. It was damp, dark, cold and goddamn wet.

"Real amazin'."

He commented near offhand, if only to appease her, before the sudden slamming of that glass in front of him prompted the vampire to swallow that snarl that threatened to fall from his lips. Fucking Tim. Raylin, however, seemed to have grown impatient with her 'guardian'. The woman appearing all the more annoyed with him. Good. He needed to drive a little wedge between them. The more irritated she became at her companion the less likely she was to heed his advice. Tim very near doing his job for him. He offered her that falsified name before lifting his glass to her own. Darcy downing that whisky as if it were a shot rather than a glass. Her comment prompting that soft chuckle within his throat.

"I worked in a bar for a while back 'ome. I got good at da drinkin'"

He offered the explanation easily. That speed with which he'd downed that drink far more about his efforts to guide her outside then any real want for that alcohol. Tonight, it was hardly whiskey he desired. That sudden, blunt inquiry to touch his fangs however caught even Darcy off guard. How very rarely anyone outside off his species showed an interest in his fangs. The vampire momentarily contemplating whether or not he could prevent himself from biting her before agreeing to her little game with that warning not to press upon those teeth less she slice her flesh. If she bled before he desired his little game would fall apart terribly quickly. His lips parted easily, Darcy offering his fangs then, the woman reaching eagerly for them then to run her fingers gently over them. The scent of her was....incredible now. He could feel that warmth of her figure. His tongue near twitching in its desire to run over her skin. Darcy near forced to grip that bar in an effort to control himself. That effort not to bite down was...supreme. That sudden shout hurriedly saw Raylin jerk her hand away and pivot towards Tim. Those reams of saliva all but pouring down Darcy's fangs the moment she turned away. Tim alone so afforded that glimpse of just how hungry the vampire was and yet whether or not he had noticed remained to be seen. Darcy quick to close his mouth.

Raylin's hand suddenly leaves his knee. The lack of that warmth almost....displeasing. Tim reaching out to drag the woman away from him and oh how quickly that possessive, territorial-ness within him rises. Darcy forced once more to bite back that growl and stop himself tearing Tim's head from his shoulders for touching what was his. That fight between them is hardly quiet. Darcy hearing each and every word before Raylin storms back over towards him with the insistence she was going to stay for another beer to appease her Hero- but that she would give him those directions first. Finally. He nods gently at her insistence she would pay. Darcy having had no intention of paying either way before he rises smoothly to follow Raylin through that bistro and out those front doors into the night air. The vampire glancing back only once over his shoulder to meet Tim's gaze once more. That look he affords the man hardly a pleasant one. The young woman insists she would show him around some time as they pause outside.

"That's real nice of ya, Ma'am- er....Raylin."

He corrects himself readily. Darcy glancing up and down that street to assure himself it was empty before she asks after that address. The vampire reaching out to abruptly take her hand and tug her gently after him as he moves to guide her away from those front doors and those lights and towards the nearest street sign just opposite that beach and bathed in shadows from the bar itself.

"Moorbank Street, I...reckon I mighta seen it on dis sign, over 'ere. Is dat da way I want to go."

He easily released her hand the moment they reached that sign. Darcy pointing up at it. Towards Moorbank Street printed neatly across the bottom and yet the sign so hardly said exactly which way to go to reach that street itself. A logical question. One he was sure would prompt her to attempt to point toward which one of those streets he should take. That vampire waiting only as long as it took her to turn her back to him. That wicked grin suddenly finding his lips in the dark.

"Gotcha."

He seizes her almost instantly from behind, one iron like arm wrapping about her waist, pulling her back and agianst him until her back is flush with his chest. His free hand lifted smoothly then, his fingers near caressing the side of her neck as they slid upward and across her heated flesh to push aside that long hair- exposing her neck and shoulder. How tempting that smell was. That saliva pooling within his jaws once more before his head lowers to her shoulder, his grip on her firm and unyielding, forcing her stay agianst him despite any struggle she might make. His fingers easily push the fabric of her shirt aside to expose more of her shoulder, his lips parting to run across her flesh in search of the veins beneath. That touch was feather-light, almost intimate and yet how wretchedly dark those intentions were. He inhales softly, that breath offering him both her scent and veritable teasing taste of sorts. How very forward he looked to this meal. How hungry he was. The veritable demons of his mind clawing at him from the inside out so desperately hungry to feed. That bloodlust rapidly beginning to cloud his thoughts until little existed save for hunger. His tongue brushed across her skin then, that almost rumbling purring growl of pleasure rising within his throat at even the taste off her skin and the teasing, tormenting blood that simmered below the surface just right for his taking. His grip upon her tightened, that very gesture only further restraining her and yet there was possessiveness within it too. Raylin, in that moment, his property alone. His personality seeming to have near...flipped. As if someone had pulled a switch.

"Dun worry now, it's just a little sting, eh? Let me see dat pretty little neck. You give all dem boys you leave da bar with somethin don't ya? Yar should give me a little somthin' too. It's only fair...."

Just a sting. How very far his fangs were from 'just a sting'. Those ravager teeth designed for nothing but destruction. To tear and rip and savage apart that muscle and sinew and tendon to feed on everything that fell out. Yet tonight....it was blood alone he desired. His veins parched and dry. His fingers slid upward again, catching beneath her jaw, pushing her head forcibly to the side to give him all the more access as he so readied himself to bite down.
