South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

He only stares at me as I lose my footing and go down. Most guys would have tried to catch me and even called out, asking if I was okay after. Tobi does none of the above, but then, he's never been like most guys. As I straighten up and scold him for scaring me, he simply scowls and shrugs before saying that he liked it. I shake my head in defeat with a sigh.

"You're not supposed to like seeing someone get hurt unless they mean you harm."

I know it's pretty much a lost cause but I can't help but keep trying to help him. I can see he has no remorse for it and this worries me. Does he need to be taught sympathy? But he gets distracted easily, turning his attention to the ice cream cart with a new determination. He looks at me as if I'll have all the answers. I think he forgets that I've lived a sheltered life away from civilization and coffee shops. I've never known the value of money or jewelry and I never ate food I didn't catch. This ice cream sensation is something entirely new to me. It smells sweet but I'm so distrusting, it seems like a trap.

That's when I notice him scratching at the contraption around his neck. It worries me to see him like this. I can tell it's driving him crazy. I can see I've hit a sore subject when I bring it up. He stiffens instantly and fixes me with a warning look. I hear the snarl and I shrink back instinctively, my submissive nature coming to the surface. And yet I don't apologize for mentioning the collar. Doesn't he see that I want to help? He points to the ice cream cart and I sigh again. He does have a one track mind when it comes to food. When I try to negotiate, I see his mind mulling it over as he goes quiet. He growls again and I shudder but hold my ground. Finally he gives in though and answers.

He tells me what it is and who put it there though I don't know the name. I growl softly at the mention of the word "pets." I know enough that that's an insulting term for a Were. I know I would never like to be called that. I scowl and look closer at the contraption. The silver makes me hiss in distaste. Silver hurts, I know that much. I'm sure he's tried many times to get it off. I bite my lip, trying to figure it out but he brings up the ice cream again and I turn my attention back to it. I can probably figure something out about the collar later. This will give me more time to plan. I take a moment to consider before I finally nod.

"Okay, but we're not done with this conversation."

I narrow my eyes just a little at the collar before he moves to push me. This time I'm ready for it though and I side step his hands easily, giving him a "ha!" look of victory before I move toward the cart. I hear his words and I sigh and look over my shoulder, speaking softly but I know he can hear me.

"I got it, okay? Just do your part. I want some too."

Turning back to the cart, I give my best shy smile as I stop in front of the cart and look through the choices. The man waits patiently. Finally I look up at him and wring my hands nervously.

"I'm sorry, I'm new here and I have no idea where I am. Would you happen to know where the library is?"
