The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Resting right on the beach near the small, locally owned shops and markets sits a bar and bistro with an elegant yet modern interior. There is seating both indoors and outdoors on the back patio where one can enjoy the melodic sounds of saltwater waves and fresh air. The menu consists of French dishes alongside American and Seafood choices and a wide range of liquors at the bar inside to accommodate the varied tastes and cravings of its customers. It is a charming little establishment that allows for those needing a break from the busy city streets to come and unwind.
Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

He listened attentively when she talked about her pack. She found she liked the attention, noting the smile on his face when he mentioned Nadya and her twins. Her curiosity was peaked but it didn't take long for him to answer her unspoken questions. At first, she was just thinking he liked kids or something. He told her that he met Nadya and her kids and that he was going to teach them how to swim. She smiled wider, glad that he was getting to know other members of her pack. "Great! I'm glad I could be of service, you know, giving you some practice in the teaching debut." She smirked teasingly but she could see he was really happy about the prospect. He was so good hearted. She still wasn't sure how to read people like him. They seemed so selfless and generous to others. Not at all like what she was used to.
She watched as he took the trash and bagged it all up, curious as to what he was going to do with it. But then he was reaching for some tube of stuff and telling her to stand up so he could put it on her. She could only assume it was the sunscreen they had talked about earlier so she stood up and dropped the towel, turning her back to him as he had asked. His hands felt good on her back as he worked in the sunscreen. She did jerk a little and hiss air through his teeth on the first squirt. "Gah, it's cold!" She admonished in surprise. "You didn't tell me it was going to feel cold." Maybe that was why it kept her from burning? She wasn't sure, but either way, she wasn't going to complain about his hands massaging her skin. When he told her to turn around, she did so, watching his features steadily as he applied it to her front, more curious than anything.
When he told her to follow his lead, she raised a brow in question, only to watch as he worked some of the sunscreen onto himself. He then asked her to get his back and not let him burn. She nodded. "I got this." She told herself more anything. She didn't want to let him down. As he turned his back to her, she let out a breath before putting some sunscreen into her hand. Staring at it for a minute, she did as she saw him down, rubbing it in circles onto his back. She tried to get all corners, from his shoulders to the hemline of his shorts, rubbing until the lotion disappeared into his skin. "Is it supposed to disappear? Should I apply more if it does?" She didn't see any on herself but she could sure feel the stickiness so she was pretty sure it was still there, just invisible somehow.
