South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Ashton listened quietly as Nadya began to give him a little lesson on some of the bigger packs in Sacrosanct. He was a little surprised to learn that her brother ran one pack, and her mate the other. Did that not cause a riff in the family? Where he had come from, family was pack. Family members did not simply leave and find another pack, they settled with one another, never leaving the family unit, even if there was a riff between two members. "Does that cause issues?" He wasn't trying to be rude, but he was genuinely curious. The packs here seemed so different than the ones in South Carolina.

But Ashton could tell that there was a disconnect there, something holding Nadya back and keeping her from telling him more about the subject. She was rather closed lipped about the whole thing and in his experience, that meant that there was a faultline that ran deep, one that if explored, would only open a wound that would be unable to heal. Ashton said nothing else on the matter, not wanting to make things awkward for her. Instead, he focused his attention on her twins, helping to get them far more comfortable in the water.

By the end of the session, he held Izzy securely on his hip as she splashed and played. He was thrilled to see her in the water and enjoying herself. Even that fact that Micah was in the water was a feat. Ashton would not fault him for holding onto the edge, but encourage him and praise him for getting in the water at all. That was a big step for both twins who came here unwilling to be in the water at all.

At Nadya's announcement that they had earned their ice cream, Ashton helped to hoist Izzy out of the water first and then Micah. Once both were on the edge of the pool, he pulled himself out of the water and helped their mother to remove their life vests and wrap them in towels. At her words, he nodded softly. He knew what she meant, that she was willing to talk about her pack with him should he ask if of her. At the present time, he was unsure what to do. Perhaps joining their pack would not be such a bad idea. He would get to see Malia far more frequently.

When she asked if it was the same time next week for lessons, it drew Ashton's thoughts off of Malia. "Yes, same time is great." Ever since meeting Malia, the woman knew how to confuse him and yet, make his heart beat faster when she was around. She confused him but in a good way. Perhaps he would get to see her again soon.
