South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

Dead man walking;

South
all that is gold does not glitter
not all who wander are lost

Brennan could not..... Believe he was out miles off the coastline surrounded by water, arguing with a fish, were-merboy of all things. A fish! Sure, it was a human fish thing. One that he just so happened to offend. Well, that certainly was a first, even though offending others seemed to come rather easy to him. Brennan said nothing about it, the irish man shook his head, an idle hand combed through the thick deceptively soft mahogany windswept locks of his air. He drew in a breath of that fresh sea air, thick with all his favoured things in the world. That comment about dolphins prompted his brow to raise, his silvery blue eyes. "Aye, I believe it. They sound like women." His irish lilt uttered before the man.. If you could call him that.. The man was bopping in the water half man, half fish like it was normal. To him maybe and Brennan had to admit it was one of the stranger sights he had seen. How easy it would have been to any passersby to mix him up with a merman, he was certain.

"Aye... April rose is all mine, every plank of wood, everything you see has been touched, installed, carved, shaped, by me and these two hands." He rose his calloused working hands for emphasis, something akin to pride shone within his voice.

It was perhaps that knowledge that saw to the orca vow to never touch his April Rose again. If he knew what was good for him, he wouldn't. Yet... he suspected those promises were like water through a sieve. Willy offered a rather sardonic salute before suddenly disappearing down into the blue depths of the ocean. Brennan was sure that was the end of him. That the man had chosen to simply take his leave after those words. Brennan's shoulders shrugged as he peered into those murky depths below. "Crazy bastard." He muttered under his breath before willing to continue on his merry little way, to enjoy that once peaceful sail once more. What else lingered in that ocean he thought before that blasted whale erupted from the ocean, 6 tons of black and white flesh. The warlock had no time to react before that hunk of flesh rose and belly flopped into the water like something someone would see at Seaworld.

A loud curse escaped the Irish warlock when a surge of salt water blasted him and poor Barney boy. The pair were utterly water logged, tendrils of his hair plastered his face as he spit out the vile salty sea that managed to enter his mouth off the boat. Why people wanted to pay to see these ridiculous creatures he hardly knew! Now Brennan was not easy to anger and yet.. Now he never wanted to wring a man's throat more than he did now!

His gaze narrowed as Barney absolutely lost it.. The hellhound not foolish enough to enter the water even though he almost slipped in, his bared deadly fangs flashed menacingly that alluded to the savage creature that hid behind the veneer that his collar contained. Now he went and done it.. Fucking whale. Brennan flicked his hands down as if to rid himself of the water, he had no intentions of getting wet.. So much for that peaceful sail alone... Just a man and his dog and that soon setting sun.

The whale was back and partially shifted again. Why wouldn't he just leave?? Brennan's admittedly cruel words lashed out, he was lucky that was all he lashed out with. For as..... Questionable as Brennan was... even he wasn't as ruthless as he had often had to be. He simply chose not to harpoon the whale even though it would have been well within his right to do so.

A frown etched upon Brennan's features, he peeled the shirt that reluctantly stuck to his skin, tossing it further into the boat, the cool air sent a shiver down his spine. Blimey now he had to change.. But it truly was only a bit of water, how much worse he had experienced before. Like ever meet a stink demon, once that goo touched your flesh, you smelled for WEEKS.

The were began to drone on... and on. Over sharing and how Brennan could not scrape up enough to care... A loud drawn out groan escaped his lips.. "Barney.. Get away from the edge you're going to fall in.." The warlock warned before responding to Willy's crazy tale.

If he was going to be forced to engage the creature he might as well sit.. A long sigh escaped him as he lowered on a ledge just at the edge of his boat.. His wet black boots rested upon the platform that was attached to a ladder he could unhook to fall into the water in case he felt like taking a dip, which was very clearly not now.

"Sounds to me.. Your pod doesn't give a rats ass about you if they left you.." How 'unsurprising' that was.. It was perhaps the mention of the seal that saw the first ounce of sympathy... Barney lowered his soaked, slick black body to the ground then, conceding to that fact that if he wasn't going to eat the whale than he might as well protect his warlock. Even though it would seem that hell hound was useless in water, the irony of that was not lost upon him.

"You do not.. Have a way with the ladies mate. Or people for that matter." He leaned forward, placing his bare elbows upon his wet jeans, a contemplative look crossed his features then.

"Now.. I am going to give you some advice... you will thank me... I am sure.. You are more than willing to show your appreciation monetarily at any time." A mischievous glint entered his silvery-blue eyes.

"Now.. if your so worried about chomping the wrong prey.. Might I suggest you just.... Do what most weres and stick to a human form? Like you said.. You're stuck here.. You might need to work on this.. Oversharing thing you have going on, or the talking.... Or the.. Nevermind... but the point is... if your stuck here.. Might as well do it on land.. Where you can actually learn to chase some tail... not the fishy kind either... I mean.. A real woman. That has to be better than whatever it is that you're doing.." Now that didn't mean to say he couldn't go flipper when he chose to.. But his quality of life might be exponentially better with the copious people of Sacrosanct to keep him occupied. "You don't get laid if you try to eat the girl.." He sat up, that wolfish grin crossing his lips then. Flipper then asked him about his own story.. Oh he had no idea what he asked.

"Ahh...My story. There isn't enough time to cover that in wet jeans and lack of whisky flowing through my veins.... You probably wouldn't believe me if I told ya. But... you can call me Brennan.... If you think for one second this makes us friends.. You are wrong.." He added at the last minute. The last thing he needed was for this sad pathetic creature to follow him home.. But even Brennan wasn't naive enough to know that Zach... was hardly the kind to let sleeping dogs lie.

"Willy, like..... As in.... Free willy?" Oh god. Now that he engaged him, there was no getting rid of him now.
