South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Kira Morozov

A soft sigh released a gentle puff of moisture into the cold air, clouding in front of her eyes before it dissipated just as quickly as it had appeared. The world around her was so quiet, yet she knew that not to be the truth, just her reality. The sound of ocean waves rolling in to shore sounded nothing more than a whisper of their true voice. Icy blue eyes glanced upwards momentarily, watching the seagulls dance and dash about through the ocean breeze, almost certainly filling the air with their shrill cries...and yet she could not hear them. Another sigh and then a sip from coffee that was quickly becoming lukewarm at best. Pale feet shifted subtly, toes wiggling as they felt each tiny grain of sand that desperately clung to her exposed flesh. Kira watched as the waves once more rolled towards her, reaching out to engulf her feet once more in it's icy grasp, and yet it felt much more like the gentle touch of an old friend. Once more it pulled away, and each time it did part of the woman wanted to follow, to simply disappear into its cold dark embrace once and for all.

How many times has she had to push away those same thoughts? Days spent fighting the ache that seems to have built a permanent residence in her chest. Maybe it would be easier to just slip into the ocean and let herself sink to the bottom, or perhaps she could let her animal consume her and simply swim towards the unknown, never looking back. These were certainly easy options, all of her troubles would just be gone and certainly no one would care or notice the ghost of a girl's disappearance. Yet Kira was a coward, she would never take those steps, staying frozen in place until she turned and ran once more, city to city. She was also too scared to break the promise she had made to her parents all those years ago now, the last time she had seen them...A small smirk tugged at the corner of her lips, her icy blue eyes looking up to the monotone grey clouds. She doubted they were proud of her, watching her from wherever you go when you die, if anywhere at all. She had built nothing of herself from their sacrifice to help her to escape, nothing but anxiety and more and more stones to the wall that now guarded her heart like a well fortified castle.

A flash of movement startles Kira from her thoughts. Instinct drives her to claw backwards from that sudden movement, the flight in her fight or flight response dictating that she move away from whatever it was. Her heart races in her chest as blue eyes watch in widened shock at the woman now practically diving into the ocean to...extinguish flames!?! The russian woman could hardly believe what she was seeing, that woman's jacket was on fire! Kira's anxiety pumped through her veins and urged her muscles to get up and leave quickly, yet she remained frozen in place. Before she can find some semblance of rational thought through her shock the other woman has put out the flames and is now standing once more, turning to face her. Kira watches as the other woman's eyes seem to show the faintest hint of surprise themselves before shifting into a more steely glare.

Kira is quick to find her composure, any surprise that had been written upon her face now masked with a quiet indifference. Her cold blue gaze watches the other woman closely, watching her body language to note any sudden change that could lead to an attack. Her eyes narrowed as the other woman's lips moved, clearly attempting to say something though there was no way Kira could hear it from where she was still seated, and yet the Were could tell whatever had spilled from her lips had been nasty and unfriendly. 'What the hell is your problem?' she signed, annoyance written clear across her facial features to convey the tone in which she signed. She doubted this stranger would understand, so she gently reaches out into the other woman's mind, not to communicate, but to simply listen in case the other woman decided to try something stupid. What she didn't expect to find was how blurred and almost muffled her thoughts were. Great...she was drunk, and from the looks of it an aggressive drunk...or perhaps a stupid one as it quickly became evident she had lit herself on fire with her own power. A witch then. That realization helped ease Kira slightly, had this stranger been a hunter, vampire, or even another Were, she would absolutely have already turned tail and run.

For the first time the Were glances down, noticing that the coffee she had once held was not spilled in the sand. What a waste, she thought, clear annoyance evident on her features now as she snatched the empty cup up, not wanting to leave trash on the beach, before she stood. Those cold blue eyes look frigid as she glares at the other woman, using one hand to point to the empty cup and then quickly pointing to the coffee stain on the ground, clearly communicating a form of 'look at what you did.' At the very least, this crazy lunatic could apologize for making her spill her precious coffee and disturbing her day. Every cell in her body was screaming at her to leave now lest she find herself in trouble, and especially if this other woman wanted to pick a fight, yet Kira stood her ground, unwilling to budge an inch from her spot and let this drunken flaming dumbass chase her away from the first bit of peace she'd had in a long time.
