South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

"I am hungry, but I don't want to eat these ducks. I like seeing the ducks come up to us. That's why I've been encouraging you to feed them, why else would I want you to feed...oh."

As she spoke, her blue-grey eyes widened at the realization as she mentally answered her question. Why would Tobi be happy to feed her ducks? She wanted him to do it, to encourage the ducks to come. But he wanted to fatten them up and eventually eat them. These poor innocent little ducks would not become a food source for them. Nope, absolutely not. The ducks were cute to see. Whenever she prepared breakfast or dinner, seeing those ducks through the kitchen window was fun to see, even the occasional squirrel and rabbit. Were the woodland creatures food? Yes. But, in her mind that patch of land that would be deemed a 'backyard' of sorts, was neutral ground for them. Worried for the livelihood of her little woodland critters she had to make it clear to her husband that they were not allowed to be eaten. With a friendly, but firm tone she gestured to the land behind her to make her point as she asked him to do something for her...because she wasn't sure he would follow her if she ordered or commanded him to do something.

"Tobi, please do not eat my ducks. See this area from our patio to the pond over there, this patch of land is a no eating prey zone. Across the pond is fair game. No chasing them to the other side of the pond only to eat them. Let them be."

There, that ought to ensure her husband won't go around and gobble all of her woodland creatures up. Besides, if they brought their child up here, she didn't want their baby looking out and seeing their Father decapitate a bunny rabbit! Was her child going to be a predator? Yes, and yet...she didn't want to scar the child for life. Between herself and Tobias, there was plenty of trauma and turmoil that wrecked their lives in one way or another. Hopefully he would understand. Standing up and climbing up the steps to get back inside, she could feel her stomach growl again in earnest for food. With the ultrasound photo safely placed within the photo album, she placed it in the bookshelf of their living room, while doing a little bit of research to answer his question. He was male so she shouldn't be surprised he wanted to know whether or not they could have sex or his satisfied reaction to the answer. Placing a hand on her stomach she looked down when she gestured towards it. How or why would she know what it wants? She read that she would develop odd cravings, but right now she wasn't sure what to eat. Looking out at the back porch and the tall trees that surrounded their cabin she took a step forward, grabbing his hand so he could follow.

"Let's get a deer. We haven't hunted just by ourselves for a while now."

It has truly been a while since they hunted together. Letting go of his hand she shut the door behind them and stepped down the stairs of the patio. Closing her eyes, she allowed that familiar tug to pull as that transformation took place. Landing on her grey paws, her eyes opened, to see that familiar sight of her leopard companion. Lowering her head slightly she happily bumped her head gently against his own and then playfully nipping at him. Taking a step back her tail swayed side to side as she lowered herself into a play bow. When her spotted companion started making his way over, she barked and quickly spun around and ran towards the tall trees. Turning her head slightly around to see him coming up to her side, she adjusted her pace slightly, so that she remained right behind his shoulder, allowing him to take the lead. Eventually the two of them would slow down to a trot and come across a well-sized deer grazing just a bit from the perimeter of the tall trees within a small clearing. Eyeing one of the trees with a lower branch, she pointed her muzzle towards it, and then looked back at him.

"Go on ahead and climb that tree over there, and I'll direct the deer towards you. Tell me when you're ready."

Keeping herself low to the ground she kept to the premier of the tall trees as she slowly made her way towards the deer that seemed quite content. Positioning herself to charge at it, she stayed low to the ground, watching and waiting. Seeing her mate set himself upon the branch she pointed out to him, she waited patiently for him to give the signal. Hearing him say now she barred her teeth and charged straight at it. The frightened deer leaped up and spun around heading towards Tobias area of the wood, just not exactly towards his tree. Snapping at its heels she directed the deer slightly to the right so it would run straight towards Tobias. The poor deer wouldn't know what got it!

i'm not ashamed of my scars,
i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.
