Perhaps if Arya had been faster this entire situation could have been avoided all together; Shifted a little faster, picked out suitable clothes faster, walked a little faster to the cove. She had expected Zach to be waiting patiently, though perhaps that was her first mistake in thinking he would be patient, just off the coast. What she had not expected was the piercing scream that shattered the peaceful ocean ambiance. It had stunned her for a moment, she nearly tripped over her own feet going down the steps that led to the cove. Yet of all the things she was not expecting, looking down and seeing the other Were shifted and standing completely naked was certainly top of her list. It was no surprise then where the scream had come from then, amber eyes watching a woman sprint away from Zach up the sandy shore. Arya is quick to move out of the way of the poor lady who looked as though she was about to have a heart attack from what she'd just seen. Truthfully, the Wereseal didn't blame her for her reaction, to have some big, burly man come running up to you completely naked. If she hadn't met Zach, she certainly would have thought he was a pervert, instead she just knew he was...dumb.
Quickly the small woman scurries down the rest of the steps, her face flushed red and her eyes cast downward in a desperate bid to keep herself from being greeted with the sight of naked man. Her face was so bright red, so much blood had flushed into her cheeks then, that her head was beginning to feel lighter than normal. She was fighting a dizziness fueled by embarrassment and awkwardness, two things that often plagued the poor woman though never to these levels. The last thing she wanted was to see Zach naked, it wasn't something she was comfortable with despite being a Were and the reality she had always lived with in shifting between forms. Arya had never even had a significant other before, let alone seen another naked this close before. Even back in highschool, when she had been on the swim team, she'd always hidden away in a bathroom stall to change so that no one saw her and that she didn't have to see anyone. That level of intimacy...a wave of embarrassment forced a shiver to roll through the young woman then. Perhaps this would doom her to staying a single virgin for the rest of her life, too embarrassed to have sex would get written on her tombstone when she died.
She is quick to cross the sand, stopping just in front of Zach so that she didn't have to be too close. The last thing she wanted was to accidentally touch him or accidentally see his dick. The small girl practically shoves the bag of clothes into his chest, her words quick as she tried to get him to dress with urgency. She hadn't been wrong, if he didn't get dressed fast enough, the woman he had scared near death earlier would likely return with a police escort. Little does Arya expect, and it was not a whole lot at this point, was for her companion to drop the bag and move closer to her. Her heart felt like it was about to burst out of her chest then, her breathing nearing hyperventilation levels of panic. And then he touches her, those big hands nearly enveloping her entire face as he cups her cheeks and gently moves her face upward. If the poor girl hadn't been panicking before, she certainly was now. Her amber eyes are too slow to close then, seeing...more than she wanted to before they lock with his. Quickly she shuts them tight, her face likely as red as a lobster and burning hot in his hands. His exclamation of recognition falls on deaf ears as the sound of her heart pounding and her frantic thoughts fill her head. She was quickly feeling as though she was about to pass out.
Even if she wanted to, there was little she could do to fight the much larger man as he quickly then pulls her into a hug. His body is wet and cold against hers, and, despite how much she wishes she wasn't, she was distinctly aware of how he felt pressed up against her. Zach spins her around, and yet that motion isn't what is making her feel dizzy. When he finally sets her down, the small brunette is practically swaying, the whole world feeling as though it was spinning. She stumbles back then before tripping and falling onto the sand. For a moment, she simply sits on the ground with her eyes still closed, trying to regain some level of calmness, though she struggles to slow her heart rate or lessen that lightness in her head. She is distinctly aware of the sound of Zach rummaging through the bag then, and waits with her eyes closed for several more moments until she believes it to be safe enough to open them once more. Amber eyes blink, blinded momentarily by the bright light of daylight before they are greeted with the sight of her companion now, thankfully, fully clothed. She rises quickly then, before Zach can reach out to help her up. She wasn't sure she could handle being touched again by him at the moment, her face still burning as bright red as it had before.
For the first time she notices that red mark across Zach's tan cheek. Amber eyes blink for a moment, surprised that he'd been slapped so hard that the mark was still there, and yet he shows no sign of distress over it. Instead his words are calm and said with a shrug, about how he had not meant to scare the woman and that it was simply a case of mistaken identity. You're lucky all she did was slap you," she mumbles then, her amber gaze still lingering on the redness of his cheek. Then her brain processes something he'd said. Had he really thought she was that old lady? That woman looked to be in at least her 40s. I'm not sure if I should be offended you thought I was that old," she says, trying to stifle back a smile from that humorous thought. Perhaps it could be taken as a compliment, that he thought she was mature or something, but it was a mild kick to her self esteem. Was she really so boring that he assumed she had to be old rather than young and sociable? Surely she at least sounded young. Arya is quick to shake her head of that train of thought, it would do her no good to linger on it any longer. Plus, Zach was already zipping off to a new conversation once more.
Though she was relaxing slightly, her cheeks still remained a mild hue of red. Perhaps her companion would just assume it was a sunburn at this point, rather than that shy awkwardness that plagued her in every social interaction, least of all one with nudity involved. A smile finds her lips as she listens to his gleeful words, an almost childlike excitement over something so simple as clothes. Perhaps it was something small to anyone else, but to Zach it was a monumental act of kindness. "Of course," she mumbles shyly to his continued thanks, it was the least she could do, the least she could offer him. Then out of seemingly nowhere he calls her cute, those words so shocking that she squeaks slightly in surprise. Her amber eyes blink, an almost dumbfounded expression on her face then, and once more her cheeks are blazing hot. Her gaze drops to the floor in embarrassment, her hands fiddling as she tried to fathom just why he said that. Arya was entirely unused to compliments in that nature, in fact she couldn't remember anyone outside of her older family had ever called her cute of all things. She was used to her seal form being called cute, but her human form...well she'd never seen herself as cute. Rather she saw herself as rather plain, perhaps not ugly but definitely not beautiful or cute. "Thanks," she mumbles nearly inaudibly. It is perhaps the best response he will get, her brain experiencing a near meltdown in those moments.
Thankfully, for Aryas sake, Zach does not linger on that topic or add more, he instead quickly grabs one of her hands and begins to drag her. She was certain she was experiencing whiplash with just how often her companion jumped from topic to action and back to a new topic. Desperately she tries to keep up as they climb those stairs back up to the main pathway that connected this cove to the more popular stretch of beach. He was so much larger than her, her legs could barely keep up and a few times she stumbled. She feared she'd fall and he'd accidentally drag her face first up the steps instead, and knowing him he likely wouldn't notice until they were at the top. Luckily she makes it without falling, but she doesn't have much time to even take a breath of relief before he is releasing her hand and pointing out something. Her amber gaze follows where he is pointing, noting some small tourist shops that specialized in apparel with the city name on it and small trinkets. "Those are some small gift shops, we can check them out if you'd like," she says then, willing to go where ever he wanted to in those moments...within reason of course. If Zach wanted to play tourist, then a gift shop was a good place to look around at all the cute little things. A low growling noise has her blinking then, amber eyes turning back to Zach as he laughs and admits his hunger hadn't been satisfied since...well she hadn't ended up his dinner. She smiles, "If we head towards those shops there are some small food stands. I suppose I owe you dinner since I didn't end up being yours." Those humorous words are trailed with her own laughter then. It was funny how earlier he had nearly eaten her, and now she was showing him around the city.
