South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Raven Cain

Sometimes there are certain things that should be left in the dark. Raven knew the Council had power, perhaps more power than other organizations or departments in government within the city, but she always assumed the Mayor's office had the final say. After all he was placed in power by the people, the Council was not. While she flipped through the pages in the notebook set before her, a small frown appeared as Azrael explained that the Council had the power to do well, anything they damn well pleased. That the Council was able to make decisions without the public knowing seemed frightening. What else had the Council done without their knowing? Did she really want to know? Contemplating the idea, she looked up and down the table of the various Dark Hunters sitting comfortably in their chairs. How many times did these individuals decide to harm, kill or control different species within their city? Maybe some of them were gaining profit from that cursed auction house on the outskirts of the city, and they were quite happy to look the other way. Feeling uneasy when some of those Hunters looked her way she would quickly look back at the paper, hardly reading any of the text. Raven couldn't help, but feel as if she were prey, sitting around all these creatures that were trained to kill her and her kind. Azrael wouldn't allow that to happen, she knew, and yet she wouldn't be surprised if they decided to begin culling her kind by getting rid of the one witness that knew about it.

With the meeting getting ready to begin she quietly sat up in her chair a little bit straighter. Out of all the Weres within this city, Raven didn't consider herself as a very good candidate to speak on her species behalf. There were other Weres that would do far more justice than she ever could. The young woman wasn't seen as a leader or someone that was respected by most of their kind. If there was anything she was known for, it was that she was a dutiful packmate, loyal to her Alpha, and the lover of a misunderstood leopard. To be known for those things wasn't bad, but it didn't give her any reason as to why she should be here in the first place. As the leader of this meeting came in, those doubtful thoughts only seemed to grow, and she sat quietly watching and listening quietly, waiting to see how this would all play out. While Eli began to speak, she noticed how he would fluctuate his voice, the man attempting to be magnetic as he made his argument. Blue-grey eyes moved down the table finding some Dark Hunters in a trance by what he was saying, one or two nodding their heads in agreement. Looking to Azrael she noticed his familiar annoyed scowl, well at least he wasn't succumbing to Eli's alluring showmanship. Not that she didn't think of him as stupid enough to fall for it in the first place. And yet...how was she supposed to persuade all of these Dark Hunters? Public speaking wasn't really her thing. When Azrael decided it was her turn to speak, she took a deep breath and attempted to steel her nerves, ready to try and do what she could and say the right thing. Keeping tone calm and firm, she slowly began to dismiss Eli's reasons as to why he thinks the Were population is a problem.

It was hard to decipher what the Dark Hunters were thinking. When Eli spoke, she saw some show agreement, but she didn't get that with anyone here. Could they tell she wasn't suited for this role too? If Tetradore or Frost were here, their presence alone would have made the others pay attention to them, all Alpha's had that ability, it was a natural thing. Finished with what she had to say she looked over to Azrael, hoping to see some subtle acknowledgement that she didn't accidentally damn her species. When he spoke and the other Dark Hunters began to murmur amongst each other in agreement, she let out a small sigh of relief, pleased to see they seemed satisfied. The mention of Frost work with the Council made her tilt her head to the side slightly. Out of all the Weres she knew, she didn't think Frost would be willing to work for them or even with one. As for 'Alexander' was this the same Dark Hunter Alexis mentioned that she was seeing? If so, what a very small world. When Eli spoke again, she couldn't help, but give Azrael a sympathetic look, her own kind killed his entire family?! How awful. No wonder he seemed so...unpleasant the first time they met. If Eli knew this bit of information about Azrael, did he or anyone else know that she killed her own family? Would they believe what she said if they thought it was coming from a beast-like monster? Her head would turn a bit to look at the woman the leader of the meeting called 'Clara.' Was she friend or foe? When she didn't say anything, she looked over towards Eli, trying to see if he seemed happy or displeased that she wasn't anything. When their eyes met, she didn't shift her eyes away, instead she kept her stern gaze on him, not willing to break the eye contact first. When the Dark Hunter looked away, she'd turn her head to Azrael, puzzled that he thought this whole event was going...well. Turning her head in his direction she replied gently.

"That was it? He says something, we say something...what's the purpose of everyone else being here? Do they not have a say?"

Catching an unfamiliar scent getting closer to them she looked up to see the Dark Hunter named 'Clara' standing behind them. Seeing how the woman extended her hand, Raven did the same and shook it firmly. Staying seated she gently moved her hand again, protectively over her belly that had yet to expose her pregnancy, uncertain as to how this Dark Hunter would know in the first place. Feeling stared at, she looked over to see Eli talking with two other Dark Hunters, his eyes staring at her intently. Raising her head slightly she shifted her attention back to Clara, gently questioning her.

"You too? H-how did you know I was expecting? Did Eli or I say something to persuade your opinion?"

i'm not ashamed of my scars,
i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.
