South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

~•Ren Nomura•~
... everybody wants to be a cat because only a cat knows where it's at ...

Ever since she'd been a little girl, her parents had always told Ren that those ocean-blue eyes of hers were as deep as the saltwater depths for a reason. It was a unique trait that set her apart from both of her parents, their own eyes a deep, rich milk chocolate that having reminded the were girl of the warm hot chocolate her mother would make on those cold winter days much like this one. It had been her father that told her the reason she'd been born with those ocean-blue eyes..."You have a rare gift, daughter. You've always seen the souls of others with those deep eyes. Never take this gift for granted, for it will guide your path to meet many that might need you to remind them of warm rain and the sunrise"... Now, of course the were woman knew that this hadn't been the trait that fortune had given her at birth. No, the feline had a secret no one other than her beloved parents knew of - yet. It was only a matter of time before someone else might come to know just what it was she that she could do, but in the same moment, Ren believed that there was a proper time and place for everything. It was not something that she practiced often, though there had been perhaps one full moon or two where she'd been utterly and entirely alone, allowing that trait of hers to stretch its metaphorical legs far from civilization and within some of the deepest forests or atop some of the highest mountain ridges. She was uncertain that this born trait would be received well by the various towns and villages she'd ventured, and with the sheer size and populous of the city she now called him, that uncertainty remains just as strong as it had been before she'd found her way to Sacrosanct. If there was ever a need for it, the were woman would use it, but not a moment sooner. After all, there were some things in this world that were best to be shared with only those that would come to mean a lot to her.

And, as she looks up into the hazel eyes of the hunter and watches the raven-haired huntress, Ren knows in this moment that she would one day share what she was capable of them one day. Although, they still had yet to fully understand exactly what the feline was, that sweet little Pretty Lady was more than what she seemed.

Dark ears twitch at the answer the man gives in response to the huntress's words..."No. Not human at all. Not anymore"... There was something that flickers there within his hazel gaze as these words pass over his lips that seems so distant in that moment as he reveals to the women that he was in fact a dark hunter, something the feline had known from the moment those ever-seeing ocean-blue eyes had fallen upon the man. She is instead caught up in the depths of that ever so fleeting emotion just out of her understanding's reach as it disappears about as quickly as she'd seen it, but it was enough to make her own heart ache.'His eyes looked so... sad'... Ren hardly misses the wink that he gives the huntress before them now, and she cannot help the amused twitch of her whiskers, the two hunters exchanging their own acknowledgements of one another, leaving the feline looking between the pair with bright curiosity, but it was quickly made known to the were woman why it was both of them had been walking through the outskirts of the southern district today. It made sense. That was what dark hunters did. They existed to maintain the delicate and terribly fragile balance in the world, though their true purpose was likely to defend humankind from the supernaturals that often lived among them, some rather keen on making prey of the delicate mortals. She feels the man's gaze fall down to her small frame and she meets him with deep ocean-blues that catch a flicker of worry there. Did he worry that she, a mere feline, might think less of him for what he'd done? Would he look upon her the same way if he knew that she was also a were much like the rogue he'd slayed? She purrs loudly in his embrace then, blinking slowly up to him, hoping that it was enough to reassure him that she cared for the man no less than she had upon first meeting him.'It's okay. I know that what you did was necessary. I'm not afraid'...

She meant it, these unspoken words that the man would never hear within the depths of his mind for her lack of telepathic communication and his lack of understanding. Ren knew that the man could not help what he was, just as she could not help what she was. Fate was a strange creature that was often known to seem cruel, but everything had a reason for being. They just had to believe that it would all mean something someday.

The were woman watches the huntress, so very aware of the strange mixture of relief and... hollowness, so little ever seeming able to go unseen by ocean-blue eyes just as her father said to her when she'd been little. Again, her heart goes out to the huntress with hair that reminded her so much of a raven's gleaming feather. How the were woman despaired silently there in the man's arms as he stands with her, thinking that her two new friends would carry such weight in their hearts! She would have to do all that she could to understand why there was such a darkness clutching the spirits of the two, and should they open their hearts to the were woman, Ren was determined to help them remember the light that they seemed to have lost. The hunter shares his name first, and how eagerly the feline clings to it, catching it like a butterfly and holding it delicately within her memories forevermore. And, when the huntresses follows suit, the were woman does the same. These three names, they belonged to her two dear friends, and that made them all the more precious to her. Bjorn offers Ren his shoulder, the feline trilling delightedly and climbs rom his arms to sit comfortably on his broad shoulder, though not without rubbing her cheek against his before listening to him extend that invitation to Raven, ocean-blues eyes gazing over to the huntresses, waving her long tail as if in wordless agreement with the hunter upon whose shoulder she say as though she belonged there. How perfect it would be, the four of them sharing warmth and food as they further nurtured the seed of friendship that she is almost entirely certain had been planted on this fateful afternoon. The feline very nearly has to keep herself from squirming out of pure joy when Raven and Mayuza (whom Ren decides in this moment to call Mayu) accept Bjorn's invitation, instead settling for a bright and pleased meow.

Bjorn invites the huntresses to follow him to the car he'd driven to the southern district, Raven and Mayu seeming to simultaneously accept the man's offer, and again the feline's heart soars!'I knew today would be amazing!'... She kneads excitedly, albeit gently, at Bjorn's shoulder then, waiting about as patiently as she could manage. She was curious to see where he lived, and even more curious to learn more about her two new friends.
