South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

None Of It Has Ever Satisfied My Soul

Didn't want to feel anymore... Isn't it ironic. Gideon was the opposite in this matter; The way he was trained and brought up, he didn't have time to really feel or have emotions. It was simply hear, think, move, strike, exit. No time to get close to people. Besides, the last few people he was close to many many years ago ended up dying, or have been dead. This was a newer era, so he didn't expect anything really.
His entire existence, though, wasn't in question like Lani's. Gideon knew his role, and his worth in the waking world. To even have his name besmirched would be impossible, for starters, no one REALLY knew GIdeon or who he was. Minus Serafina, his only connection in terms of people he knows.
Secondly, he kept to the shadows and didn't talk much about anything. Yes, he did have a great conversation with Tobias, but to say that anything blossomed in the Greek was a complete lie;
To him, it was just another supernatural being that he spoke with, a connection he could maybe go back to later if he needed.

The attempt made by Vitani to hire his services though was a flop. He knew about Braxton and what his business was, as well as Vitani's whole little scheme she had going for her. A Kingslayer he was, yes, but Gideon was not tempted by the greed that put him in the position of immortality in the first place. The flashback was like a salted wound that scared his flesh, and never disappeared. Tempted by the idea of more money in his pockets... That ONE extra kill; The slip of the poison into the goblet of that filthy emperor tyrant after he slain his chancellor. It was a botched job though...
He'd not let the same thing happen twice, thus he declined Vitani. As well as her "advances".
"Save it.." He remembered saying as the scene played out in his mind, as he closed his eyes.
"I'm not interested in your offer of work... And I'm most certainly not interested in you, or anything about you... I'll take my leave.."
She was quite annoyed but Gideon knew when a deal was too good to be true... Though he knew one day that greed would catch him again.

Brown eyes opened once more as he turned a bit to look at Lani.
"Funny you say that... Some days I wish I could feel again. Alas, my lineage didn't allow me; Notoriety. Upbringing. Reputation."
Gideon chuffed a bit, as he adjusted his hood a bit, and relaxed himself a bit, but guard was still up.
"That's another story for another day... Lani you said? Beautiful name. Sounds like a flower."
A light shrug followed his words, as he felt that was the most awkward ass thing he could have said in all his years of existence in the world.
Right. Moving on...
"Uh, but... Yes. Home is across the pond, as I believe the saying goes. Greece, to be exact. The home I wish I could go back to. But alas, my place is here. What my purpose is in this city may never be found out, but I'll continue on. Such is the way.."
That's all he ever did after he was executed, and went through his transformation. The pain he felt was, very surprisingly, comforting. It was the only time he ever really felt some sort of emotion in him. The sheer panic and terror, as he could feel himself seize up. He felt like he was being crushed with a massive weight; Mayhaps this was the weight of his prey that clung to his soul. Leaving a stain that would never wash away.
Then, the sharp pain; A stabbing sensation and it was over. He woke up in a field; Stab wound where he the executioner's blade was sunk into, was now a scare, but the blood stains remained. "A second chance..." He remembered the first words he uttered after becoming a Fae.

"We're opposites it seems. You never felt peace, yet I'm simply at peace. However, as far as belonging, we are similar.. But I don't think we have the same lineage or occupation." His thick Greek accent was coming through.
"Maybe, this shadowy figure can give you a little advice. Or maybe just talk, and forget life for a time, you know?"
