The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. He understood the lack of women in surfing. For whatever reason, it seemed like only men lately. Even where he was growing up, it was mostly men and boys. Then again, he grew up in a place that still supported 50s gender roles. Women were there to make babies and keep the home. Men brought in the money and played sports. Ashton didn't necessarily agree with that mindset, but it was the way he had been raised.
Once she took his hand, he offered her a little bit about himself, telling her that his cousin was named Raelynn. He hoped that it would break down her fear against him. He wasn't sure where it was rooted, but just maybe, if she saw that he was as human as the next person, she might just smile or be open to a conversation with him.
She seems to take the bait, so to speak. She comments that she's never heard of someone with a similar name to her own. He nods in agreement. "I hadn't either...until I met you." When his cousin had been born, he thought it was the strangest name. He'd never heard of it before, but it had a pretty ring to it. He never heard the same name (or even a similar once) until today.
He tried to offer her a bit of hope with her chilled body by telling her that it would warm up in an hour or two and she'd feel a lot better in her wet suit and he might be too hot. But she said she had to work and he sighed softly. No, that certainly wouldn't help her much.
He then tries to give her a compliment, hoping that it might boost her confidence. She seems to take it well, looking at him with softer eyes, not quite as filled with fear as they once were. While he might have wished to see a smile, he would take it. "...and I teach classes during the week. I guess that's why I never ran into you out on the water until today." He catches his balance as the wave seems to hit them both, not successful at all in knocking either one of them off their boards. Their experience was showing.
But it was her offer to surf with her that had him looking up at her with a soft smile. "It would be my pleasure." He didn't want to traumatize her further, but then again, he did want to surf. He turned his board so it faced open ocean. He laid down on his belly, his arms beginning to paddle him further out to sea. As another wave came, he ducked himself beneath the wave, coming up on the other side with a deep breath. He looked to make sure she was still beside him before he paddled out further.
