South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Anastasia attempts, with quite an impressive measure of success, to stymie the incredulousness and... laughter that threatens beneath the supple veneer of her upturned features at the mention of this supposed unicorn and its miraculous holistic abilities. Matteo had imparted upon her this "secret" so that she might leverage its absurdity against her father should he chide her for her abrupt and extended absence. But, though it had warranted some consideration, it is an arrow she does not slide from her quiver, out of respect or, perhaps, simply sensing it is not the proper time for such a jest. Alexander clearly having considered the possibility of such a creature far more seriously than she would have believed he would. And so, she simply offers a pointed glance and the pitching of a perfect brow. "That's quite... something. Though perhaps it is simply sheer force of will that saw him healed. Such things are not unheard of," she muses, unsure of what else she might offer him without betraying her thoughts on the absurdity of the explanation he offers.

The conversation shifts to a topic weighing far heavier upon the Duchess' heart. The notion and realities of war were no stranger to the duo; Alexander had lived through all of the world's greatest conflicts, Anastasia having been made into the Hunter she was in the midst of a revolution, training at his hand and blossoming into the warrior that stood at his side. She releases a sigh, a portion of the tension that grips her abating. "I can only hope it is worth it to the right people. I have watched so many suffer for so long, Alexander."

There is a softness to him then in response to her attempt to draw forth some humor from this man who, otherwise capable of everything, seemed stunted in the ways of the more tender emotions. "And all children need their parents." The smallest simper spreads against her features at this because, though she would hardly admit it aloud, Anastasia needed this tenderness from her father in this moment. She needed to lean on him... and so she does. Gently does she lean her head against his shoulder, forfeiting a deep sigh and allowing a long moment of calm to pass in which they simply regard the stunning animal before them.

Finally she straightens, a furrow having dug it's rivets into her brow, before extending a hand to rest against the stallion's side. "He is ready," she offers, knowing this as assuredly as she knows all other things brought to her by her affinity. Suddenly nodding towards her otets, the Russian woman withdraws, issuing a request. "Get him saddled." She disappears then, only to reappear after a handful of minutes leading an impeccably-groomed blue roan gelding that had captured her attention earlier. Anastasia looks to her father then, brows raised inquisitively. "Ride with me, yes?"
