South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The way Raven and I think are two very different things. She was once scared just like me but she learned from it and moved on. I have not, not yet anyway. I think we take on the personality of our other half, the animal inside us and the instincts that drive them. I am a fox and while we are not at the bottom of the food chain, we are certainly not at the top. Size does matter in the wild and maybe that's why we're more scavengers than hunters. Sure, we can take out a bird or rabbit and other small rodents but we would never go after something bigger than us. With a pack, I've taken out a fawn before. That's about as big as we've ever gone.

Raven is a wolf though and that makes a world of difference. She is a predator, a hunter by nature. Wolves hunt in packs and take down large beasts like elk and bison all the time. I would never dare such a thing. It would be suicide. While she may not be invincible, she's a lot closer than I am. We both have survival instincts but the balance is more in favor of fight when it comes to her and flight when it comes to me.

She tells me to attack and while the last thing I want to do is hurt my best friend, I know that it's all part of the training and so I obey. She charges after me, only to hold her ground as I race back toward her, wanting speed and momentum to give me an advantage. I manage to land on her back but as I do, I see her head snapping around, teeth going at my tail. I jerk it out of reach automatically, ears laced back as I hiss in her direction. She pivots her body and charges me, causing my teeth to snap on air instead of her side. I take it all in stride though, going after her back legs next. She jumps away and then tries to pounce on me so I dodge quickly to the side, knowing that her weight falling on me would not be so pleasent.

As I rush for her neck, the wolf rises up on her back legs and I know that I don't have many choices at this point. I try to pause and dodge to the side but she slams her paws down and I feel the wind knocked out of me as her paws push into my side, sending me flying into the grass a feew feet away. I know that my side will bruise but like she said, it'll heal pretty quick so I clench my jaw to stem the cry attempting to leave my lips and get back to my feet, albeit a little slower than my usual.

Even as I'm getting up, the wolf stalks close, jaws snapping and while I know this is only training, my natural instinct would be to curl up in a ball and whimper for mercy. However, I'm trying my best to fight that instinct so instead I growl back, curling my lips as I curl my tail over my back. With lightining fast reflexes, I lean forward and slap a paw at her snout, aiming to scratch her nose and maybe make her jerk back in suprise. If she does jerk her head back or up, I rush forward, slipping under her chest and snapping up at her tender stomach. I don't slow down, not wanting to become a prime target for her to lay on me or get me with one of her paws or even snap her jaws at me. I know this is a daring move but it seemed like the right one.

As I get back into open ground, I turn and snap at her tail, aiming to pull some hair out and maybe pierce the flesh. If she pulls her tail back, it'll only work against her and could hurt her tail worse when my jaws hang on, pulling her vertebrae. I slip around her after, circling her wide, keeping out of reach of her big jaws as I try to plan my next move. I know that my speed is my best advantage. I'm smaller so a harder target and I'm fast. I've just got to keep that in mind.
