South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South
Little angel go away, come again some other day.
The devil has my ear today.

"Splinters are highly effective at eviscerating enemies through... varying degrees of absolute annoyance."

Wood was natural, and anything directly from the earth called to me like a bird to her young in the mornings when she'd found a worm so suitable she couldn't wait to tell her babies. Mother Nature was often very kind to me, offering me whatever I asked for as long as I later returned the favor by gifting whatever she gave me, back to her eventually. It could be in the form of growing new trees, growing new plants or flowers; whatever I could do to help the environment, eventually, would repay the immensely powerful gifts that she had allowed me. If I believed in religion, I could call myself Wiccan if only for the sense that I believed the earth did revolve around some master even if that master was simply the universe and all other events combined inside of it. The universe had an energy that was reusable, and maybe the earth was just the right recycling bin, making its components vivid and lively enough that for someone with a power like me, they were merely minions awaiting their call. As if to illustrate this point, the darts bounce in almost excitement in the air while the wood of the tables and chairs that I desired to create lurched out at exactly the second I had intended.

"No, I think this oaf is highly appropriate. He just needs some more variety. Perhaps he should be welcomed to a class of this caliber more often."

As the cues shatter, I find myself almost pouting. That's no fun, pick up your legs! I settled back against the bar to use its stability while mending the cues and resetting them over the chairs as if they had never been tampered with. If the man knocked them again, they would probably angrily insert themselves into his legs. I mean, only probably, and only if I was watching when he tripped them. Decidedly unamused with the lard, I turned my attention to my drink before avidly looking at Damon's new target when his voice commands my attention. I can't help the laugh that falls from my lips as he utters what he wants his new target to do. Aw, look, we have two toys! The new toy begins to spin in a manner that has me nearly snorting my drink out, but the behavior isn't actually accomplished before I laughed audibly.

"I think he has to take some shots, too. To, you know, improve his aim."

I had intended to artfully distract the darts while he attempted to throw them. Why not? Damon was enjoying the show as much as I was enjoying participating in it, the macabre humor behind all of it not even bothering to strike me as inappropriate. As my companion leans back, I offer him a thoughtful nod.

"Quite true. Make yourself useful while I turn those darts into a meat tenderizer and get us another drink?"

... Perhaps this was the beginnings of a truly beneficial partnership.
