South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It was a blessing and a curse to be half human and half animal. Every Were had to figure out this particular balance and yet it was something quite impossible. A Were was either too animal or too human. Raven as a young child acted more primal than the rest of the pups within her pack. Always she had to constantly be told to change back fully clothed rather than stark naked when she was amongst others in their human flesh, she was more inclined to growl and pounce on her peers then sit and stay while class was going on, but all that couldn't compare to one night during a hunt that she completely changed â€" for the worse. Reaching the age of five, a werewolf was able to be at its 50% full grown height and weight, and she was naturally a deadly apex predator. Something dreadful happened that night. When she changed she could actually feel a buzz in the back of her head, her own pack members seen not as friends, but as foes. She felt this irresistible desire to puncture the jugular and feel the warmth of blood gush out. This accidental murder caused her entire pack to deem her a Monster â€" call her predicament feral â€" and she was forced to finally put to rest that wild side of her. Cages, harsh punishment, and the loss of freedom was what she endured for her crime. Her pack knew that being brutal and forceful was the only way to 'deal' with anyone that was of feral mind. Abuse left a permanent impression on the young woman now that she began to become ostracized. A wolf thrived on pack life, to be alone and left out was painful, especially to such a frightened girl that simply could not explain nor understand why she became the way she was. It was only once they let her out of her cage did her darker half decide to carry out a horrible punishment for what it thought were the true Monsters...her entire pack left dead and Raven could do nothing to stop it.

Yet today when you see the golden-brown curly haired woman one could not think the girl was a complete terror. The meek woman was quiet, gentle, and hardly was ever seen caught raising her voice. The scars along her face and the despair lurking in her blue-grey eyes simply showed a broken creature. It took time to heal all scars. Every flawed impression on her pale skin spoke of a story, a show of the abuse she experienced, and even though she saw it as a sign of weakness other might see something otherwise. Quietly the young woman roamed the woods, fully clothed after years of beatings of learning to change right in a way to suppress her feral side, the need to turn wolf was not needed yet. Tonight she simply wanted to walk in her own skin for a change. She was part of a pack now and with that notion there was protection. She knew these woods like she knew every scar on the back of her hand. She knew of the Dark Hunters that set their traps and flawlessly kept herself from being trapped by them, she stayed off other claimed territories from other Weres. Vampires and Witches were ignored because Vampires rarely ever came here and Witches, well, she had her own charge to protect and Witches just weren't the ideal company in this moment. As the she-wolf wandered deeper in the woods a familiar presence made her stop dead cold in her tracks.

Standing still, her head would turn slowly left to the right as the wind gently pulled those golden-brown curls over her shoulder. Her head would tilt slightly as she inhaled that familiar odor of Death. Although her human side was telling her to run away her primal side was telling her no. Death after all meant food and the girl was capable of bowing readily to her instincts. Yet there was something off about this scent of Death, something peculiar that left the woman to thinking that perhaps she should flee than fight. However, she was an apex predator and as such running away simply wasn't the correct choice to make. Shadows began to pour out of the trees as they billowed and circled around her, encasing herself with her shadow armor. She was the second most powerful creature within the entire city. Her boyfriend only being her equal when it came to power. She could be safe in her vulnerable flesh or in the warmth of her fur. A soft growl emitted from her throat as the timid woman began to look for the thing that made her so very uneasy, but curious at the same time â€" a dangerous combination for herself and the creature.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
