South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The touch of Raven's tail and nose only brings a sigh of contentment to my lips. I do not feel fear in her presence, not anymore. I know that she could turn feral at any moment and try to eat me but I'm willing to take the risk for the sake of friendship. If I can't trust her, who can I trust?

I flick my ears toward her as she starts to speak, telling me how her place is owned by her sister pack and they tried to attack Isolt. I think of the red headed vampire I was so afraid of and I suddenly feel bad for being so unwelcoming. I whine softly.

"Is she okay?"

I ask. My eyes soften, letting her know that I genuinely want to know, not just asking out of politeness. She tells me that the house is no longer safe and she will go with me to get my stuff and find another place to stay. I shudder at the thought of being homeless again but I nod.

"Okay, I won't go back."

I assure her. I tilt my head, my eyes questioning.

"Where will I stay?"

I ask out of curiosity.

As I wait for her answer, she suddenly perks up some, her tail waving eagerly and I lift my own head to seek out her gaze, distracted by her happiness. At the word pack, my whole body stiffens and my head shrinks back a little, ears flattening to my skull as my eyes widen in fear. I don't know what to think. Raven joined a pack. I guess I should have seen it coming. She was so close to Tobias and he's part of a pack. She must have joined his to stay close to him. I knew this was coming, I guess I just didn't want to think about when. I find myself shaking my head as I burrow my nose into the snow.

"No pack....no pack."

The words fall like whimpers from my lips, my eyes tearing up with the bad memories of what happened the last time I was part of a pack. The isolation, the averted eyes so no one would see the scars, the pain, the hurt, the rush for freedom. I ran from a pack. Why would I want to join another one?
