South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

There was a chill that lingered throughout the forest that had little to do with the brisk Autumn weather.

Like wisps of thin, raspy breath, the morning fog stretched slowly throughout the trees â€" its misty grasp hovering in the shallows of the forest entrance while its body lay thick and hidden further in. It traveled past the thinner trees, weaving and snaking its way into the thick mass of the forest's belly yet it did not seem to dissipate or thin. It sat there, thick and heavy in all its eerie grace, beckoning any prying wanderer into the grasp of its ghostly maze.

The forest was vast. Beautiful in its own right to the blind eye, but there came a point where even the supernatural began to question just how long they'd been prowling and where exactly they might be. There was always a turning point â€" a feeling in one's gut where they knew that, perhaps, they had wandered too far. Would they be able to find their way back? How long had they been walking? Was anyone else out here? Like petty prey that had wandered into a beautifully deceiving web, it never took long before they realized the danger of proceeding forward...but by then they had already alerted the spider within. Coiled. Waiting. Patient.

The fog seemed to seep further into those dreary depths beyond the body of the forest itself, sinking inwards in a lulling, dangerous pull. It beckoned past the veil of fog â€" past the mask of its intent and further, deeper into the parts that so very few wandered. The silence that lingered was deadly. Not a single bird chirped. No squirrel clambered up trees. There was no wind. Simply... silence.

It was a haven as much as it was dangerous bait. It was the desired protection of his solace that kept the wise at bay, for a beast's den lay ahead whose occupant took unkindly to being disturbed. Yet he hungered for the desperate souls that wandered so eagerly into his clearing â€" a large, unnatural circle that lacked the growth of trees. Even the fog did not enter the circle and hovered around it instead. It was covered in short, wild grass and patches of small blue flowers that had no scent. In the middle there was a single fairy ring: a mushroom circle that seemed to pop up in the very middle of the clearing. Nothing more. Except, perhaps, an ominous presence that seemed very much awake.

have you no idea that you're in this deep?
I've dreamt about you nearly every night this week
