South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

It was unadulterated madness. Beasts that seemed massive in comparison to him, gallivanting around one another, playing with some horribly mangled ball and wrestling with each other. Yes, he could easily make out that this was some form of play, but the mere thought of being dragged into it send shudders of worry through his fragile frame.

Even if they meant him no harm, the weight and power that they had in spades over him would result in some serious injury on his behalf and perhaps some semblance of surprise from the pack of madmen and women. He had only just arrived and already Ian had discovered that this was no place for him, the fox was either mad or a specially chosen favourite of the group and so was granted protection. The fact that she was a female probably made it that much easier to assume, not to mention the way that the rambunctious leopard nigh on suffocates the poor thing in some gesture of friendship.

The bizarre relationships playing out before him were more than enough to send him back the way he'd come, Ian was more than prepared to have nothing more to do with any of the lunatics that had come out tonight. It was with careful consideration that he sank further down, attempting to make himself scarce before anyone could notice him, with such mayhem going on he didn't expect to be caught out.

But Ian seemed to have a habit of things not going his way recently.

Before he had a chance to make his break, there was a thud beside him and he found himself dwarfed in the shadow of the maniacal leopard he had seen smothering the fox. Without a chance to gather his senses, Ian's hindquarters were slapped out from beneath him. Rather than struggling to keep his balance, he allowed himself to be bowled over, trying to let the momentum add to a roll and bring him back to his feet. Luck was on his side since the leopard seemed to sink back, at first he expected perhaps a welcome â€" instead a sentence, entirely disjointed and stunted made its way into his head as he scrambled to his feet.

Kitty-pet. What the hell was a kitty-pet, and why was he being called one? Ian's instinct to flee was overrided by the minute notion of common sense, if he was to run, he would definitely be chased. If he stood up to this moron, there was a likelihood that he'd be that dumbfounded that he'd go back to wrestling with the wolf.

Or he'd eat him. That was also an option.

Spotted ears flattened against his skull, standing tall on his stilt like legs â€" his spotted coat bristling and standing on end, attempting to make himself as large as he could. A high pitched growl resounding in his throat, culminating in a venomous hiss. "I'm not your goddamn toy."

Well, he wasn't going to go out like a coward, that was for sure.

But he wasn't going to make it through this night, of that he was sure. The growls continued to reverberate through his throat, every muscle tensed for action, prepared to spring away from an oncoming attack â€" there was no way he could attempt an assault on the leopard, he was smarter than that. For once, though, luck was on his side. Perhaps more embarrassing than being threatened by such an idiot, was to be rescued by the smallest member of the group (himself excluded obviously). But he wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth, still glowering and yowling at the larger feline he felt more content to stand his ground, despite the leopard's ability to annihilate the two of them with one swipe of his paw.
