South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Anna-Marie Belrose

It felt more like a western stand-off the more time that passed. Each were sizing the other up, baiting and warning, though not offering much to interest Anna. Her gaze hardly shifted away from the Hunter to Sebastian, who in Anna's opinion didn't know how to have fun properly, and the other female who didn't appear at all adept at protecting anyone. "Her kind kills ours. She'll kill you as soon as she's well again." Anna hissed at the fairy. The child eased from the shadows, her steps countering Samantha's, appearing to take herself further but each movement calculated to simply bring herself just that smidgen to the other side for a clear view of the Hunter once more.

Anna wasn't overly patient on the best of days; something that carried over from her human child days, though in her current state she was even less willing to wait. The moment the fiery redhead's head turned to Sebastian as he spoke seeking out their suggestions to placate the little vampire, Anna closed the distance between them. She may not have been as fast or as strong as normal but she still possessed enough of her species' abilities to make the trip before the hunter could notice. Anna's small fingers wrapped around the hunter's wrist with a wicked smirk. From a distance she wasn't strong enough to control but touch allowed Anna to gather was power she had left and seep it into the woman's veins. Immediately the vampire's ability took hold of every fiber of the human, forcing her muscles to relax and drop the once gripped blade to the soft earth below. The one thing about Anna's ability was that it could control the body but the mind was still very much aware of what was going on allowing her to see the fear and pain in the ones she manipulated.

With her hand solidly wrapped around the hunter's wrist she turned those cold blood-thirsty eyes to the fairy who had so unwittingly tried to defend the injured. "It's the circle of life. Some must die for others to live." Anna really had no thought on making a meal of the fairy now that she had her grips on the hunter but it didn't mean she couldn't frighten the girl. Her gaze narrowed, "Run and I'll spare you." Small twin fangs flashed briefly in the moonlight before Anna sunk them into the soft flesh, the warm coppery blood flooding her mouth alighting her body with that stolen life. Anna's gaze flickered to Sebastian, having hardly cared to see if he'd stop her as he seemed so wish-washy of it before.

Anna had been in a much more dire position all those years back. She had gone so much longer without feeding that her barely trained manipulating power as all but useless and had to rely on pure strength...which had been very little. That night she had come across a very human Sebastian. She had watched him then, flirting with a girl and exuding that certain pheromone scent that came with lust which she had come across so many times in the past. Anna abhorred it but at the same time found a child's crush on the man. It hadn't been her intention to kill him, though the moment she got close enough to him, attempting to ask him to play a game with her, the sound of his blood rushing through his heart had been too much and she had snapped on him. It was vague even to this day on how she had managed to get him down, so much blood everywhere and the struggle as her fangs pierced the skin of his arm then his shoulder and finally his neck where the artery lay beneath. She must have gotten cut, her own blood somehow finding its way onto her hand as she had held it over his mouth to keep his shouts from being heard before they grew dim and stopped.

It wasn't his shouts that Anna remembered, they all sounded alike to her after the years...but those eyes. Perhaps it was a form of muscle memory, being in the same near desperate situation and finding herself looking into those crystalline eyes as the warm blood filled her stomach that brought that night's memory flooding from the vault to the forefront of her mind. It caused Anna to falter in her feeding, to pull remove her fangs from her now unconscious and near drained victim to blink back at Sebastian. "You..." Blood coated her mouth and lips as the tone of confused realization turned to wicked delight as her lights twisted into a smirk. "You're mine." Now this was an entertaining twist of events.
