South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I could forget everything around me in the moments I'm handling a new gun. Nothing matters but the cold metal under my fingers in those moments. I try not to think about him telling Azrael of all people before me about his other job. It hurts to think he couldn't trust me, or didn't want me to be a part of it. He could have picked anyone else in the Council or world for that matter, but Azrael? That guy hates him and he doesn't go around it either. He admits it straight out. He thinks Kohl is useless, a good for nothing hunter who will never amount to anything. As he says my name, I let out a long exhale of breath. His fingers are warm on my arm, my gaze slowly drawing back up to his own. I let some of the hurt show, though of course I'm resisting the urge to punch him in his stomach for making me feel anything close to vulnerable.

He starts to explain and it's all I can do to keep eye contact when all I want to do is walk away. I've never been good at this whole talking it out thing. When he's done, I roll my eyes. "I swear, you're so smart you're stupid sometimes. I could tell you before I even attempt to fire a gun whether it's going to kill me or not. It's called knowing how a gun works. I've done my research and I can take any of your little gadgets apart and tell you exactly how they work the way they do. I would know by looking at the parts and how they fit together just how safe it is for the user. While I appreciate the gesture, it was unnecessary." My brow quirks up, wondering how he'll take that information.

I can see he believes every word of that explanation and I really do appreciate him putting Azrael in harm's way over me but I'd like to think I'm smarter than that. I can tell I've really taken him by surprise when I turn the gun to him, his words stuttering at my name before I turn and shoot the gardener. As the man falls with a grunt, I turn back to him in triumph, only to have him make a remark about it shooting. I shake my head and smirk. "So it does."

I wasn't expecting him to step closer and grab my chin though. I acquiese, his lips meeting mine softly. It only takes a second before I close my eyes and melt into it, returning the kiss with soft affection of my own. When he draws back, he's already talking about tomorrow and I roll my eyes. "Gee, I don't know. Maybe you'll get to admire the barely clad women by the pool again." My eyes spark teasingly. I tilt my head as he speaks again, a brow raising in amusement. Whatever I want? I smirk. "Sounds like you've got a great day ahead of you. Deal." I hold my head out. "Shake on it like a true businessman." I wait for such a shake before I turn to head back inside, giving him an innocent look over my shoulder. "Oh and set your alarm for 6. I want us hitting the sidewalk before sun up." Oh yes, he just signed himself up for jogging.
