South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It's not the long walk home that will change this heart, but the welcome I receive after the restart.

He could feel the steely cool amulet within his grasp, the tips of his fingers reaching the dangling chain that drooped from the boy's pocket. But the vampire is hoping to secure the amulet solely by feel here, as his haunting, glowing eyes blur, a predatory technique, when he first tastes the rich blood upon his tongue. Dareios is pleasantly surprised by the flavor. While hardly being the best he'd ever feasted on, it wasn't entirely awful. Though if he were to critique it quickly, he'd say it was a bit too salty. Perhaps too much MSG in his diet.

Unfortunately Dareios wasn't able to sample it for much longer. A bizarre, radiating glow suddenly enveloped him, the warmth of it taking hold of his cold, undead flesh and splintering through his veins. The vampire's body became erect, his fangs dislodging from their hold upon the boy's neck as he writhed in pain. He was moving as fast as he could, feeling the burn surge through him, in an effort to get away from whatever it was that encapsulated the hunter.

Dareios finds himself sprawled on the cobbestone sidewalk, too deafened by the blow of the hunter's defenses to pay much attention to the cries and the screams of the humans passing by. But surprisingly, the amulet is in his hand, clutched firmly there. Dareios stands quickly, his hands moving to pat the dirt off the cuff (and half of one) of his blazer. Another hand moves to the top of his head, flattening the locks that had come unhinged during their scuffle. Only then does he look up at the hunter now, one hand wiping the remnants of his crimson drink from his lips.

And Dareios smiles.

His vampire characteristics are no longer pronounced. The defined, protruding ridge of his forehead has sunk back in, and his eyes are no longer glowing and hallowed deep into his skull. To those just witnessing the event, he looks entirely human again. So the vampire grabs desperately onto the next man that passes by, his hands holding him firmly in place there. "Please! Call for help!" He shouts, just as his foe sends a dagger his way. Dareios sees it coming, of course, and pivots his own body behind the human. He watches with anticipation as the wooden stake cuts through the man's lower leg with ease.

And he smiles again.

Dareios dangles the amulet in front of him for the man to see, completely apathetic about the envelope of cash that still sat motionless under the bench. "Toodleâ€"oo." He says, with the gentle swipe of his fingers, over the agonizing groans of the human who is spraying blood across the sidewalk. And with that, the vampire is gone, his uncanny speed hurrying him down a side street and quickly out of view. He'd be home, back in the heart of the city, in minutes. Then he'd call for his assistant to fetch his car.
