South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Kato Buhari

Seeing as Kato had never before dealt with someone having a panic attack, falling back on the tales from his childhood was just as much a tactic of attempting to calm Edie as it was to allow him time to stall and think. He was raised far differently, wrestling and learning to fight both in Were form and not just something done from a very early age. At first he couldn't see what could have triggered Edie's reaction. However, perhaps he was going a bit faster than he should. Maybe that had scared her. It wasn't until he finished with his tale and explained in his very vague way his reasoning that Edie countered, explaining why it was that she had had her attack. Hurt him? A simper crossed his features as his gaze softened on her, "I'm sorry I scared you. I didn't expect you to use all your force on me for that last one. I just wanted you to know how to do it in case." His lyrics were gentle, careful to keep everything low so as to not trigger her again.

He rolled onto his side so his front pressed against her side, allowing him to look more comfortably down on her as he gently caressed her face. Even in their most calm moments together in bed, his touch had never held quite as much care and reverence as it did now. Her words caused his heart to clench as so many emotions battled inside him. He could not deny how much he had grown to care for the woman; how he had been so very drawn to her from the first moment he saw her. But he had told her he was simply using Sacrosanct as a weight station for a reason he had not divulged. "My heart...lays in Africa," He began slowly, glancing away from Edie to the open clearing of tall grass though he remained pressed against her. Kato took a deep breath as he readied himself to talk about something that was very difficult for any man...feelings. "But it also...is here." His gaze returned to her, grazing the same hand that had brushed her lip down the front of her body and back up again to rest on her chest above her heart before returning to his own side. "I was married a few years ago to a woman I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. We were going to start a family. She...-" Kato visibly tensed as the memories dug to the forefront of his mind, averting his gaze from Edie. "She passed away during childbirth...her and the baby."

Kato's very demeanor changed, stiff and withdrawn as he spoke though it held no anger...simply sorrow. "She is buried there...the baby too...beneath the shade of the largest fig tree. My herd is there- my mother, brother, and little sister. I could not just leave them. They would think something happened to me and how am I to know that they are ok if I never go back?" When he was finally able to bring himself to look at Edie again, the look in his eyes was different, the sorrow and chaos of torn emotions reflected easily in them. "I never said goodbye." His voice was strained and it was very obvious that he didn't really mean his herd but his deceased wife and child. "I need to go back." Kato fell quiet a moment. He understood it sounded like he was leaving Edie and it took a while for him to make the decision on his request of her.. "You...should come with me."
