West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She was safe, she was safe, she was safe.

It was a mantra that the terrified faerie girl repeated over and over and over to herself as she stood behind the bar, watching the three animals battle each other. For now, she had merely drawn all that fear around herself as a shield, the fae's power one she was thankful for considering that the feral animal in front of her seemed hell bent on destroying her. That alone was something that Samantha couldn't quite understand. But more importantly, she couldn't understand why she was hurting Aiden and Tobi. Tobi was her boyfriend. Samantha knew so well how much Raven cared for Tobi. Tobi perhaps being the only person in the world that Raven would disobey Aiden for. And Aiden himself... her Alpha. Raven herself was the one that had been explaining so much about Were culture and how much the word of the Alpha was complete law. That she was attacking him... something had to be so wrong.

The emotions of the wolf were so... foreign to her. She couldn't pinpoint anything exactly other than the rage that the woman felt that her plans were being thwarted, that Samantha remained out of her reach. But it seemed as though that would remain to be the case. Though Aiden had been shaken up by his throw against the wall and was certainly limping slightly, it hadn't slowed him down when it came to going right back to the fight. Tobi was coming to his aide now, and between the two of them it seemed like they were making some leeway in getting the wolf down. Samantha raised one hand to cover her mouth in horror as she watched Aiden's jaw close on the wolf's neck. She could feel the rush of annoyance that the animal felt, followed swiftly by complete... despair. It was almost as though the wolf gave up, her body shifting back to the normal size. She felt fear and horror and that... longing... for something... anything else.

It may have been dangerous, even stupid, but the faerie girl pushed herself over the bar, landing on her feet and taking off running towards the trio right as Tobi got off the wolf. Samantha wasted no time in darting around Tobi, her frame stopping in front of Raven and Aiden. She pressed her hands against Aiden's lanky form. From here, next to Raven, the woman's despair and fear seemed like waves she was drowning in, and all she wanted to do was get it to stop. She pressed harder against him, willing him to let go of the wolf. "Aiden, Aiden. It's over, let it go. Let her go. Please." It was fruitless, of course. The weaker faerie couldn't move the feline even an inch. Still, she let go of him, falling to her knees at Raven's head. She reached out, stroking the wolf's ears as she continued to plead with her boyfriend. "She's not going to hurt me. Let her go. You're hurting her."

She was sure, now, that there was no more danger to be had in the wolf. The rage and hostility that had plagued the woman had now shifted into that worthlessness, that willingness to let go. The faerie woman continued to pet the wolf, her voice soft as she spoke only to the wolf. "Sshh... Raven... it's okay..." The whimpers of the wolf were downright painful to the faerie, the girl loving Raven far too much to wish any pain on her. She leaned in closer to her, continuing to pet her gently as she let her power wash over the woman, letting the calm feeling she wished Raven to feel to wash over her. "It's okay. You're safe. No one is going to hurt you."
