West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

I can sense some hesitation with Raven as she leads me toward the Ark. I wonder if she's still thinking about the decision that ripped us apart and left a rift in our friendship. I know she says that she forgives me, that she understands but is it so easy to understand in your own mind that I was leaving with him for her? That I was trying to save her? Maybe it would be easier to understand if it had actually worked. It would be nice if I had said okay and he had turned away from her and left with me. Then she wouldn't have been broken and beaten and dumped at the Ark like a sack of garbage. When I mention the rest of the pack and how they must see me after the attack from Frost, I can sense her quiet like she's deep in thought. I don't know if they discussed everything that happened or if they just let it be. I listen as she explains that it doesn't look good but that I should just tell the truth and hope it turns out okay. "Thank you. I hope they will."

When we reach the Ark, I hesitate before heading up the ramp, glancing at the guard nervously and waiting for Raven's head nod to make him look away before I follow along after her. As we push through the crowd, I can hear the fighting and I glance around shoulders and heads, trying to get a clear view. I remind myself to straighten up and look confident, even if I don't feel it right now. I keep Raven's tail in view the whole time and when she steps up to the throne, I stop at her flank, looking past her at Nadya's brother, the one she calls Aiden. He looks like quite the alpha from here, looking out over the fights. I can smell his power. I sit quietly as Raven does, letting her do most of the talking as she starts to explain to Aiden about Frost. I look down at my paws when she mentions his name, sure that Aiden is already thinking about the time he saw me with Frost when they were fighting. I was the one to stand between them and ask Frost to leave. I'm sure Aiden remembers that.

My thoughts are confirmed when I hear the low growl in the large panther's throat as he sees me. My ears flick back but instead of shriveling behind Raven as I once would, I instead hold my ground and meet his gaze if only for a moment, wanting him to see the apology in my gaze before I avert my gaze to show respect. I continue to be still as a statue as he gets up and starts to circle me. I still hold my gaze averted even as he begins to speak. I know I must still have Frost's scent on me from when I met him down that alleyway. I know that if I just tell Aiden that I put two arrows in Frost, he has no reason to believe me. It's not like I'll have proof. The arrows disappeared the moment he pulled them out and his wounds were transferred to a nearby human that I had to heal so there's nothing to prove anything happened. He's also right that Frost would indeed have an idea to put a spy in his pack to take him down. I rack my brain, trying to think of something to say to convince him.

When I do look up, I pick a point right beneath his face to look so that I'm still averting my gaze and yet looking at him when I speak so it's not counted as a cowardly way to lie either. "You have no reason to believe and I have no way to convince you. You are right. I only have word of mouth and I know that means nothing without your trust and that can't be asked for, not after what I did. I wish I could say I was trying to save people but it's easy to remember that it didn't happen that way. I chose him so that he would leave Raven alone and instead he beat her to a pulp and I didn't move a finger to help her. Then he delivered her to you and challenged you on your territory and I did nothing but watch and then leave with him. You have no reason to believe I'm trustworthy. I don't deserve trust from any of you. I don't deserve your protection. I don't deserve shelter. I've been on my own for so long that it's hard to even imagine having to live in a group. I wouldn't know where to start. Whatever tests you need, whatever punishments you need, just name them. Maybe through this, I can prove that I'm truly sorry for what was done."
