West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

When she called him weird, he just shrugged, apparently deciding it wasn't worth it to argue at this point. She slurped down her drink, liking the warm feeling in her stomach and the giddy energy she felt pulsing through her veins. She felt like she could stay awake for days like this. Then he brought up car racing and fights on the Ark and she was intrigued. She loved a good fight, but of course she'd probably just get her ass kicked right now. She would sober up first and then she'd have to challenge him to a fight in the ring. That is, if he wasn't a scaredy cat. Ha, she liked that one! She giggled a little to herself at the joke in her head.

She told him he was more attractive when he was smirking and looking all confident and he rolled his eyes at her which made her smirk right back at him. She didn't think much of him telling her not to try to get in the ring right now. She wasn't that stupid, but in time, she would definitely take him up on that. At least they were going to see the racing. She clapped her hands and he chuckled, seemingly amused. Then he led her out into the streets. She noted he was keeping an eye on her which only made her walk with more confidence as if to say "see? I can do this." She stumbled and had to hold the wall a little but she tried not to let him see when that happened.

As they moved into a crowd closer to the roaring of the car engines, she felt overwhelmed, like a caged animal with all the bodies closing in on her. Her breathing accelerated a little as she pushed closer to Tet, seeking his warmth for security as they moved through the crowd. Of course she never got scared, just more aware of everything in her surroundings. She felt the stares of some of the men and dared to stare right back at them, catching the wrist easily of that man who thought he could slip a grope in as they walked past. She could feel the tension in the air and when she glanced at Tet, she saw the look in his eyes and raised a brow, her lips quirking.

"Aw, was someone worried about little ol' me? I'm touched."

She nudged his shoulder playfully, even as she asked if they were his pack. He said no and she noted that he slipped in if she was pack, her eyes glittering with curiosity but she decided to hold her tongue. She already knew that he was a little miffed that she chose Frost but that wasn't entirely her fault. She didn't know he was even in a pack, let alone alpha of a pack. Besides, he wasn't that fun to be around as a panther in her opinion. Hopefully hanging out with him more like this would loosen him up a little. She lingered closer to him again as they got to the front where they could see the cars. Her vision was starting to clear a little by this point so with a little squinting, she was able to make out the vehicles he was talking about. When she pointed out that it was clearly not a spider, he chuckled but agreed with her and she raised a brow at him as if to say "then why tell me it is?"

When he asked which one to bet on, she didn't really understand what all that meant but it made more sense to bet on a "spider" than whatever the heck he said the other one is so she told him and he waved someone over to take his money. She noted the look the woman taking the bets was giving Tet and something coiled in her chest. She glared at the woman, her lip curling a little and only when they turned away did she feel herself relaxing beside Tet, sensing that he was relaxed too and yet excited as he turned to watch the cars revving up. She, too, looked at them eagerly, wondering exactly what it would be like when they took off. Would they squeal tires and burn rubber like in the movies? Would the girl be taking her top off to wave them on?

She scowled at these thoughts and brushed them away. Of course it was these distracted thoughts that didn't help her as someone pushed into her and sent her stumbling right into Tet. Immediately she felt warmth rush through her body even as he moved to lightly brush her arms. She shivered at the touch and pulled away quickly, clearing her throat and staring at the ground for a minute as she tired to compose herself and her flushed features. She focused on her breathing, not even thinking about what he must be thinking. He was probably just trying to make sure she was okay and not about to fall right into the streets or something. He was just looking out for her, making sure she didn't become roadkill by race car while intoxicated.

She looked back at the cars, needing a few more moments before she could trust herself to look at Tet. She asked about the race and luckily her voice came out strong. She tried not to think about how close they were still standing, her arm almost close enough to brush his if she just shifted her weight. No, she needed to stop being stupid and focus on having fun. This wasn't a puppy crush. This wasn't anything. She was just being stupid becuase she'd touched his chest, that's all. Luckily she had the race to focus on too because he pointed out to her that they were about to start, letting her know that the tv's would show the race too and she glanced up at the screens in curiosity, wondering how they took the cars from the street right in front of her and put them on the screen.

As the woman started walking up, Malia raised a brow at her and then glanced at Tet.

"Does she have to strut like that? She looks like a chicken."

She didn't care if the girl heard either and she figured she did because the girl gave a look as she walked past. Then she went back to her job of yelling and dropping a white bandana and in a flash, the cars took off. Malia was leaning forward eagerly by this point, caught up in the energy of the crowd around her. Her eyes were wide and sparkling as the cars flew past them and she could smell the burnt rubber. She was grabbing Tet's arm in excitement without even knowing it, her gaze watching the cars disappear from view before she spun around to the tv to continue watching, almost knocking into him again with her unsteady equilibrium as she steadied herself with a hand on his back.

"Oops, sorry. Hey, who's winning?"
